What was the film that was like the fantasy movie with the little girl that had to go back to some other time? SHM post it? Cant remember who it was.

I think that's Pan's Labyrinth.

As for upcoming movies, I'm waiting on 300. OMG yes 300! As well as Ghostrider, Spiderman 3, the last Pirates and Harry Potter.

Ah thats the one. THe trailer for that looked good. Looking forward to that.

300 looks pretty good too. I read up a bit on that story after seeing the trailer, will definitely be going to see that

300 will be sick in the theater with the big screen and the uber sound.

I look forward to being completely lost in that world for 2 hours.

And the next HP looks to be excellent. I saw a story on the new director and it looks like he'll be a good one.

I'm totally excited about it. I even refuse to see anything but the teaser for it. I don't want to see anything more, just wow me at the theater.

As soon as I finish this Clancy book I'm going to pick up the HP books again so I can be back up to speed by July.

I bounce around like an idiot every time I even think about the new HP movie.

Mmm. Alan Rickman.

Holy fucking shit on a stick I didn't know a preview was out for Fantastic Four 2. Oh my god. I just had an orgasm right here at work.

Ghost Rider? No.
The Invisibles? Rofl. How old are you.
300? Yeah I'll see it. Not eagerly waiting or anything.
The rest except for Harry Potter and MAYBE Transformers, I'll probably never see.

Just knowing that our tastes are 180 degrees opposite is enough to make me happy. In so many ways.

Smokin Aces looks pretty cool.

Grindhouse and 300 of course.

Artha
01-17-2007, 11:59 AM
300 and Pan's Labyrinth are the only ones on my list as of right now, but I'm sure there will be others.

edit: And Grindhouse, good call Backlash.

edit2: And Curse of the Golden Flower or whatever it's called.

I wonder if the people who made Fantastic Four 2 ever saw T2???????????????

Skeeter

I thought the same thing Latrin, pretty much a blatant rip off.

I never read a whole lot of the silver surfer but I didn't remember him being non-corporeal

Even people on a message board dedicated to a text-based RPG think that makes you look nerdy.

thornhappy

Mmmm. Snape. I don't find that nerdy at all. Of course.. I'm 'sig'-ed as saying I'd hump a cardboard cutout of him..

Yay 7th book. Again, I bounce around stupidly when I even consider the fact that the 7th book will be out.

Definitely Spiderman 3, HP:OOTP, and Pirates of the Carribean are on my list. Dunno about others yet.

There's nothing saying Book 7 is coming out this summer yet. Just because she has a title doesn't mean the book's finished. (She released the title of Book 5 a year before announcing the release date, and the title of Book 6 about six months before announcing the release date)

TheEschaton
01-17-2007, 07:40 PM
When book 6 was released, I read in an interview that she was planning on having the 7th book out by the summer of 2007. That was just a guess, I guess, but I feel like lots of people are holding her to it.

I'm definately looking forward to 300 and Fantastic Four 2 after watching that trailer. I watched a couple of the Harry Potter flicks while spending time with my little brother and they were better than I thought they would be. I'll probably go see the Phoenix. As of right now..300 is at the top of my list. That shit is gonna be badass on the big screen.

Uh, none of my picks are Disney tyvm.

CrystalTears
01-18-2007, 01:56 PM
He didn't say Disney, he said children. Harry Potter and Transformers are geared towards children.

Deny, deny, deny. :D

Besides, The Invisible (no S at the end) is not a sequel to the animated Disney movie. It's about a guy who is killed and is trapped between life and death and is invisible to both.. or something. Your stuff is more kid stuff than that.

Drew2
01-18-2007, 02:00 PM
My point was, HE picked a Disney movie. Therefore I win.

Furthermore, I think many (including the author) that Harry Potter is a "children's book".

Transformers I'd see more for visual appeal than anything else. I'm not getting my rocks off to old Transformer cartoons like StrayRogue.

No he didn't. Lrn2read

Harry Potter is sold in the children's section.

Denial is not a river in Egypt.

Dear Tayre,

The Invisible is Hollywood films... You're confusing this with the Incredibles you douchebag
Don't cry because you have the same tastes as an 11 year old girl.

Dear Skeet,

Suck my dick.

01-18-2007, 02:44 PM
Maybe he was confusing it with that kids movie out right now.. I think it's something like "Arthur and the Invisibles".

Anyhow. I've already seen Curse of the Golden Flower (Amazing story, couple decent fight scenes, iffy ending but best possible imo, great overall)

I'm DYING to see Harry Potter, 300, Pirates 3, Spidey 3, and Pan's Labyrinth.

I echo the desirous sentiments for Alan Rickman. :)

There's a couple from last year I haven't even seen yet. such as The Good Shepherd and The Departed. I DID get to see Eragon though and it was pretty good. (Though I may just think that because I'm a fan of Garrett Hedlund.)

Oh yeah and I'll definitely be seeing Epic Movie when it comes out. I'm not a huge fan of stupid comedies but this seems highly enjoyable to me for some reason.

I definitely thought he was talking about this. What IS he talking about, then?

I'm also one of the 5 people in the world that loved the movie.

Edit: This may or may not have had to do with the fact that the star, Ed Speleers, is omfg hot.

Dear Tayre, watch the fucking movie trailer. This will help you figure out the difference b/t The Invisible and Arthur and the Invisibles (or the Incredibles).

PS. I even gave you a link.

Dear Ganalon,

I'm at work: an unfortunate place to be caught watching movie trailers.

Blow me.

Lots of Love,
Tayre.

Edit: I also do not have access to Myspace here.

Be careful, I have a portable shop compressor and can be at your office in less than 5 minutes if you're really in the need. ;)

(actually I'm in my office, so you'll have to give me 20 minutes to pick up the machinery and drop by)

All I'm hearing are excuses, Tayre. Just man up and say you fucked up, mmkay?

I think it's endearing that I was the one giving him shit first about the movie thing and he tells Skeeter to suck him. :D

Also Ganalon, I don't work there anymore (hahahaha big surprise). I work for Clear Creek ISD now. More money, MUCH better job, etc.

Lmao. I'm a campus technician. I do what I did at my last job, but for a lot more people (students, teachers, and staff for 2 elementary schools). And I have slightly more say as to what goes on.
