I've never watched the power that is Jack Bauer but I keep getting emails about the new season for some reason... I think it's season 5 or 6?

I have just one question.... is each season 1 day in his life?

Every season is 24 episodes that each show 1 hour of the day. The episodes are about 42 minutes long sans commercials, so some things are left out, and it's all in real-time, focusing on one event at a time while other things are happening off-screen simultaneously. The season will cover a continuous 24-hour cycle of a national crisis from start to end.

The season starting tonight is the sixth.

I’ve never watched it either.

The second season of Rome starts tonight as well on HBO.

Also, tonight is Bush on 60 Minutes.

Seasons 3-5 were really awesome, but I never got into 1 or 2. I watched the first two episodes of season 6 already and they're great. I don't know how I feel about the beginning of the first episode, though, since nothing is explained -- it just goes straight into the action.

I always miss the one or two first episodes of the season.. then figure I'll be lost for the other 22 hours so why bother.

Ah I'll try to catch the first episode. There is no real drive to go back and watch 5 seasons.

I will definitely be recording Rome tonight however.

Does every thread you post in have to turn into a fucking political thread about how the man is keeping you down?

STFU.

STFU.

No and no.

But seriously, watch the first episode and tell me its not racist fear mongering propoganda. Just like in WWII how the media depicted the “Japs.”

Last season was nothing but white Americans and Russians.

Clarification: The bad guys.

Oh, and the Chinese capture Jack because of an assault he commanded in season 4.

And season 3 was whites, as well.

Damn, that's the best fucking link ever. I just watched the 2 episodes of Rome season 1 I missed. Saved me from queueing it up on Netflix.

Best link ever.

A colleague at work recommended it to me so I rented season 1. The show was really good. However I became hooked during season 2 and rented the remaining seasons.

I prefer renting the seasons....NO COMMERCIALS!

You don't have have to watch the other seasons. I would though since references might be made.

<<When does it come on?>>

I believe it's going to be the same as usual...

On FOX, tonight from 8-10 PM, tomorrow from 8-10 PM, and then every Monday afterward from 9-10 PM. Hopefully they'll do it without breaks again, too. Waiting 2-3 weeks for an episode sometimes got annoying in the earlier seasons.

I watched the 24 Season premiere already and the teaser for Hour(episode) 5 for this season. I was not to pleased with the first three hours of it. It is supposed to be 2 years after the ending of Season 4 and they just kinda filled in the positons and Jack was back to normal which seems odd considering what happened at the ending of last season.

I was about to give up after hour 3 but I will say that the 4th hour and teaser for hour 5 did blow me away.

5.

<<Jack was back to normal which seems odd considering what happened at the ending of last season.>>

He's also Jack Bauer, and it wasn't an immediate change. He was fucked up for a little bit.

IS FOX SET TO BLOW THE NUKES ON '24'? (http://www.drudgereport.com/24.htm)

"Time to wake the country up!" a top FOX source told the DRUDGE REPORT over the weekend. "I do not think there has ever been TV done like this, the viewer is going to be completely riveted."

Showtime has already done Sleeper Cell which is not as bad, but still bad. Nah, not fear mongering. Not at all.

Keep your fucking bullshit out of here, please. If you watched the show you'd see them representing the concerns over ignoring Constitutional rights, too. It's not fear-mongering, it's an entertaining TV show.

I could never get into this show. No political reasons. Every time I see Kiefer Sutherland in this type of character I want to kick his butt. Also I hate all these security/panic based shows, seems every network has one these days.

You may want to, but Jack Bauer, after being handcuffed to a chair, blindfolded, and tortured for an hour would eat your face off.

I promised somebody I'd watch all the episodes of some Heroes show before its new season :-\

Someone wanna break shit down on 24 like wut, if I happen to catch an episode here or there? (The last episode I saw is the one where they kidnap his daughter or something. I think it may have been the first episode ever of 24 )

Awesome.

It's made me realize all scary stories involve a stronger kid bullying the weaker but eminently more sensible kid.
