I've heard newscasters make stupid comments before, like the woman who meant to say that a hiker was blind but instead said that he was gay, but tonight I heard one that I think is really gonna get someone in hot water. One newscaster was talking about the scorpion found on a plane today and then went into a story about how she'd found a scorpion in her yoga mat once. The other newscaster then related a story in which he'd found a roach in his jeans as he was putting them on, causing him to "scream like a white woman." I know he didn't mean to say it, just said the first thing that popped into his head, but I don't think he did his career any favors. What weird or inappropriate things have you guys heard newscasters say?
