So my computer seems to think its in the UK, and since it's set to that my keyboard set up is all fucked up so when i hit buttons like . . . forward slash, i'm returned with a # symbol, and when i attempt to insert an @ symbol into my text i'm returned with " . . . .quotations. Does anyone know where to go in XP's settings to change it back to U.S. settings?

Your computer is obviously of superior intellect and sense of humour. I'd keep the way it is. ;)

I would have left it, but that forward slash is like life support for me, since i hate navigateing around the file system with my mouse, i was going crazy not being able to type in the path name of where i needed 2 go, and i couldnt find an alternative button that would produce a forward slash, lol.

Forward slash on an English keyboard is on the bottom line of letters (above the line with the space bar on) last key before shift on the right. It has a / and ?

...

\ is backslash and that's on the same line, far left next to the shift key. I'll take a pic of my keyboard to prove it!!!

Oh, so like, the same as every keyboard in the United States ever?

I've never been to the US or seen a US keyboard, so I'd have no idea at all. Judging by Johns post, I assumed his / was in a different place since my # key is one line above that next to enter.

Keyboards are slightly different in South America so it was not so impossible for me to believe that a UK keyboard could have small differences also.

Mine is on the far right on the key with the |, next to the enter key.

This may have to be decided in Battledome.
