Four Emeralds

I purchased four emeralds from a shop that seem to have been changed by a cleric spell.

They are now not considered a gem by the gemshop.

Can the spell be negated?

Doesn't work. The spell itself removes the "gem" tag, and puts in a "spell" item tag.

Eh..did you read the sign? Chrism gems and orb gems are commonly sold out of shops, and normally the sign lists what is what. It is also possible that the person who put it out wasn't aware they held spells.

I think I know the shopkeeper in question. If so, his sign clearly states that the gems are all chrism gems. Guess you just have to be super careful reading the signs to make sure that they are task quality gems if you're buying gems for tasks. Sorry you didn't get what you thought you were getting but I bed you could find someone who'd be happy with them though.
