So I'm about 30 minutes into the movie, and it's pretty damn good. I got it on a whim tonight figuring it'd be a good b-rate movie to watch while I'm GSing.

Great visuals and seems realistic so far for a horror flick, which is unusual. Haven't gotten to the cave monsters yet though, so who knows.

Yeah, cave monster just showed up and this is a fucking GREAT movie. It's been a long time since I really liked/enjoyed a scary movie.

Holy shit that was a great movie, how come I'd never heard of it?!

I actually had a couple white knuckle moments. Incredible flashbacks to the beginning too. I didnt care much for the ending, but it was still pretty damn good.

I try to watch all the scary movies that come out because...I like the feeling of being scared. Most of them fall short, and are laughable. But the Descent was the first one in YEARS that actually scared the hell out of me. I loved it.

Yeah, I don't think it was hyped up so big for the movies when it first came out but it is a great scare.

Event Horizon is another one I'd watch again.

I have Hellraiser 3 on video, the uncut version. That crazy doctor played in the HBO series Rome. Hellraiser 4 wasn’t bad either.

Rome kicks ass, i CANNOT wait till it starts up again, seriously, the centurians are going to kick some major ass. That said HBO series... Da Ali G+, Sopranos+ and Deadwood+. Deadwood will de-sensitize you to the word "Cocksucker" as it is used every other word (awesome).

Dexter on Showtime was a fucking awesome series, and it's coming back next year -- catch that too if you like CSI type shows with a psychotic blood spatter analyst (he's psychotic in a good way -- kills bad guys, but still psychotic).

I loved Deadwood. Im so sad it is over. Although i ded hear they are going to make two movies to wrap up the story.

I haven't seen it, more on-topic, but the last "horror" movie I saw was the House of Wax remake – And it was only decent because Paris Hilton gets dead much.

I like Mindfuck genre, what with titles like Stay, Memento, 21 Grams, Traffic, ESoaSM, RfaD, etc.

I need to watch some mighty conglomeration of zombies, post-armageddon and trippy mind-twisting-into-a-delicatessen-pretzel movie stuff, but, there doesn't really seem to be a lot of that goin' round, if any. (i.e., the mindfuck genre has to stay realistically home-hitting to one's psyche, which is not tangibly one with being galloped over by Sleipnir while being impaled with The Gungnir. And stuff.)

Also, I can't find my "The Village" DVD anywhere :'(

You should really see the alternate ending that was removed for the US release. The whole escape is a dream, she wakes up and realizes that she's fucked. Its a much better ending that the BS one from the US version. You can find it on some torrent sites or in newsgroups.

House of Wax is your typical (my opinion) B movie screamer type show -- personally I think it sucks save for noise in the background... (Hilton dying I did pause whatever I was doing to watch though -- a friend told me in the theatre people cheered when she died, lol). Anyway, this movie was in a whole 'nother class than House of Wax... much, much better.

That was the ending I saw Xaerve... I was watching the uncut version so not sure what the other ending was. I thought it was lame.
