Just started, if you're on the east coast. You can't really tell without binoculars. Total eclipse will be at 8:00 pm.

It's completely overcast where I am. Hurrah.

You'll probably be the first to see the blood raining down, then. Watch out for Wormwood, I bet that's a bitch to catch on the noggin. ;)

If anyone took any pictures of it, post them up? my dad tried and all I can get from them are these small red half circles and that's if I magnify it like 400x

cloudy here in the augusta georgia area also so I was unable to see anything even though I drove around in the country looking for a break in cloud cover

Nice and clear here in Boston. I got to see it (unfortunately no camera on me) ...very cool looking. Not as red as I expected...more of a..brownish I'd say..but cool, either way.

I saw it too. There's a scanner at my school, and if the pictures ever get developed, I'll try to get them up.

I wouldn't hold my breath or anything, though.

Looked like every other Lunar Eclipse I've ever seen... a rusty brown color. Still pretty tight.

When was the last time a solar one happened?

The last total solar eclipse was December 4, 2002, and was visible only in South Africa, Antartica, Indonesia, and Australia.

Solar eclipses are usually only visible in certain regions of the world for each one. The next one will come around November 23 and be visible only in New Zealand, Australia, Antartica, and South America.

The last solar eclipse visible in the USA occurred on May 31 of this year, but was only visible in the northwest corner of the country and was an "annular" or partial eclipse, and not a total one.

I watched the lunar eclipse the other day from my sun-room window. It disappeared when it climbed behind view past the roof of our garage, but reappeared a few minutes later so I only missed a small bit.

Totally clear and almost starless night. It was pretty neat to watch.

My friend Tom and I left the restaurant we were eating at and saw the beginnings of the moon changing color and the eclipse. We also managed to catch the rest of it on the way to where we were going. I really loved looking at it, it's just so pretty. The sky was perfectly clear in CT(I guess RI border)where we were.

That's why every restaurant should be a transformer, preferably autobot, for obvious reasons (they're taller). We'll see who's crazy when I can watch my eclipse while eating my nachos.
