How ironic when the GMs actually encourage idiots to walk around with stupid names, give them verbs to help them continue being idiots like warn, and generally do little to propogate RP in anyway.

Yeah, I was pretty miffed about that too. There's a nice discussion about names going on in the new GS folder (started by me, ha).

Basically, Melissa said her attitude wasn't to require RP, but to discourage OOC/OOG.

I said the best place to start was the character manager, and now we have some tard defending people with names from Harry Potter.

I think the whole "Roleplaying Reinvented" was just some marketing way of saying that "Its basically the same game, but changed in certain ways."

Take a look at the little blurbs on www.play.net about the game.

"Unexplored ruins. Terrifying monsters. Live the legend!"

I doubt there's much that hasn't been explored, we have PCs that are almost double the oldest creature, and it sure isn't legendary. But they needed something there.

Heh...look at Dragonrealms.

"Roleplay at its best! A stormy realm of enchantment!"

I'm sure DR players can vouch that neither of those are true.

Maybe we should have a poll as to what few words best describe GS4.

I would love to see them hold true to that new logo. To do this they would have to:

1. Start at the character manager (EXCELLENT suggestion).
2. Start handing out 3-day to permanent bans for OOC activity after the first warning. Hopefully this would be a deterrent to idiot behavior.
3. Ban Vif.

I think banning for OOC/OOG remarks after a fair warning is a great idea. Also the banning of Vif in GS4 would get back some lost customers I bet! It could be one of their Slogans!

I don't think the whole name deal is all that bad. Lets face it, the first time you joined, you may not have had the best name in the world either.

Takes time in the game to learn what you want to be. The OOC though, that needs to stop. And yes, Ban Vif
