Well, I just got the call from work, 2nd shift for me today.

Normally, I love 2nd shift, it's my favorite to work...BUT...today is my birthday (28th..be quiet Sintik!), and I had plans for this evening...now they're all ruined *cries*

So...give me all your sympathy and wish my a Happy Birthday........here. Thanks. :P

Now - preventative medicine: Make it a policy that no matter what job you have, you inform them when they hire you that you are -not- available to work on your birthday. Not even at double-time. It is not an option to them to call you, and you will not agree to do it. You will not be in town, you will be out of state, out of country, out of your mind, not available, period, end of story.

I don't work on my birthday. Ever. I also dress up for Halloween, and if my current employer says I can't, I call in sick and dress up for it anyway, and go grocery shopping in my costume. We all have our little quirks, that's one of mine. Never give in on things that matter most to you.

I'm also not available Memorial Day week. That's vacation time, no matter where I"m working or how much they're paying. I'll turn down a 50 thousand dollar a year job if they tell me that I have to work that week if I want the job. It's my time, and no one's gonna take it from me. That time is priceless and can't be bought.

Really, thank you all for the birthday wishes and non-working advice..LOL. It does suck cause I had plans and it would have worked out nicely if I had to work this morning (like I thought would happen) but...you know, I have a great job, make good money and I love my co-workers...so...I really SHOULDN'T be complaining. I'm just..a spoiled brat, you know? :P

Anyway I am ONLY 28, and I think it was wrong for Sintik to post that picture of the woman he's pursuing (who's 10 years younger than him, btw) saying it was me. And LMAO Peam broke out the pic of the JAZZY (that's what they're called and I *knew* that..OH GOD I REALLY AM GETTING OLD *cries*)
