I thought I read about a new verb that will effectively locate items with out doing( inv full) but similar to (rummage cont spell#)or anything like that. So much catching up to do, just back from a year vacation and catching up any help would be appriciated.

Thanks Devix

INV has about a thousand options these days, type INV HELP to get a bead on things. I think Ildran is officially the SGM in charge of INV now.

are you thinking of SORT <ITEM>? It will sort that type of item to the top of your container, and give you a count of them.

I use...

TAP [ITEM NAME]... TAP OTHER [ITEM NAME]... etc.

(I just make sure none of my imbeddables are not TAP activated)

You can sort for a specific item in your inventory, or a cluster of items. You can SORT wand, and it will move all the wands in one container to the front. I have no idea how to target a container with sort, atleast with cluster.

Sort cluster takes all of a specific type of item and moves them into an order arranged by clusters.

Sort cluster scroll

>sort cluster sapphire in bag
1 item matching "a yellow sapphire" was moved.
3 items matching "a star sapphire" were moved.
1 item matching "a blue sapphire" was moved.
1 item matching "a green sapphire" was moved.
In total, 6 items in a sparkling diamond-shaped bag with a noun of "sapphire" were moved to the top of the container.

You look around your surroundings and decide it just isn't worth it. You leave Wehnimer's the way you found it.

I hadnt thought of doing the sort cluster item in container.. But what I did worked..
I sort cluster container
Then sort cluster wand... sort cluster scroll... sort cluster gem.. With out having to rename the container as long as you cluster it first.

Although I am not sure I tried it with more than one bag with that type of item in it. So it may not do anything more than sort every containers items.

By the way... who else absolutely hates the enormous amount of different descriptive scrolls? Freaking nightmare to highlight all of them. I was just highlighting the 'scroll', 'papyrus', etc... but it didnt look right so now I am having to highlight the whole thing, ancient, old, scorched, burnt, thin etc.. Eesh.

And... anyone have one of those boxstamp things that alter the look of the scroll? I have one but its like a green drake thing or something ugly.. Would like to find a better one, and or different colors/shapes

I have scroll, vellum, palimpsest, papyrus, paper, parchment, book, and tome highlighted. That way I know when I've found a sroll-type item...whether it's an actually scroll or not, I'd only know by reading it. But 99% of the time, this works just fine for me.

yeah it works fine, specially for when you are looting on a hunt.. But I tend to hunt less and stumble through large inventories more... I like to look in a container and know exactly what I have of each item, by only looking at the colors.. And I hate having the blank space.. of un-highlighted text.

Unless this is an auction item, these only work for 10 uses before breaking.
