Politics is now its own forum, as opposed to a sub-forum of Off-Topic. Ilvane and Skirmisher will be the Moderators for the new forum. :)

Those aren't fair and balanced mods! You need to add PB and drop one of those left-winged loons. ;)

What did you expect? I wouldn't worry too much Ilvane never does shit anyways. We just have to worry about the Skirminator!

LOL, only reason I haven't done much is because I have had little quiet folders. Behave yourself, Sean.:-P

This should be as fun as a root canal.

How is this different from the politics folder?

HarmNone

It isn't different, really, Daniel. It's just become a forum of its own, rather than a sub-forum. :)

Heh. Actually, these are the only two brave souls who didn't run screaming into the void when I mentioned moderating the Politics forum.

Forum moderators aren't conscripted. They're asked. Ilvane and Skirmisher were willing, and felt they had the time to take on this lot. :)

I'm not going to be moderating you because I don't agree with you..now if you go totally and entirely off topic in a topic after I've asked nicely to stay on topic..

Anyway, don't worry so much. It is a positive change, I promise. Skirmie and I will have some fun and so will you.

I have no problem with 2 complete liberals moderating the political area.. as long as the way moderating here has changed. If it goes back to moderation by viewpoint instead of moderation by simply doing your job, I'll be voicing my concerns.

Until then, they get the benefit of the doubt.

Both of them are recorded as an Option 2 in the off-topic poll (I dont mind a few off topic posts); however, they clearly did not feel like selecting the option of letting the threads evolve.

So I dont expect much change in moderation from as it currently stands, just a location modification in where the threads are posted.

I agree, Ganalon, that sometimes threads have a few off-topic posts, but I think we need to be cohesive with the way our threads develop.

It won't be much different, just more organized this way.

Actually, if I'm reading the poll correctly, your readers have asked that it be different. That a conversation that is discussing the draft could meander over to the armed forces and to homelessness.. and not be butchered at the whim of the moderator/administrator.

Like I said.. I'm more than willing to give you both the benefit of the doubt. I've never had an issue with either of you as a moderator and believe that you can both moderate that which you disagree with.

Don't anger me. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry.
