Here's something that I've been wondering about for a long while, maybe some of you have opinions on it.
We all know there's a formula for calculating dog vs human years, etc.. but how many elven years would be the equivalent of a human year?
What constitutes a 'teenage' elf? How long are they schooled for?
Personally I'm too lazy to figure out the conversions, but maybe someone else has given it thought.
Thanks!

All Elves are measured according to human standards, meaning a very young looking elf that is over the age of 18 is still legal.
Er.. thats what we're talking about right?

If the ratio vs. humans is seriously 1:15'ish (linearly) then 30-176 = ~2-11 years old!? NO WAI.
I will be inclined to believe that the pointy ears are extremely post-pubescent in the first and second age groups, lest I am a wanted man in ten out of eleven Elanthian parishes :(
When I compare the available ranges of human and elf, I notice that we cannot play humans until they are legal. And even a little past legal. So with elves.. I tend to think of their lowest available age of 30 as being debutante age. That was the age at which Lysistrata was presented to court, anyway.
As far as schooling, I would guess that for the nobility it goes on into the 100's one way or another. But that's just me.

I'd always felt that elves just take part in a life long learning, rather than a hundred years of formalized school. One bit of evidence towards this is that Elanthian culture, despite stretching back tens of thousands of years, is still quite primitive. So they never developed the formalized researching that's lead to a lot of the technological advancements RL.
