Twice now I have been demoted in rank for advancing too slowly in Col.. Is absurd. I earned those ranks. They should not be taken away.

And.. be given stupid times like this:

The High Taskmaster looks at you, consults her notes, and then announces in a loud voice: "Maselon, I'm rather busy right now. I know you have completed the requirements for advancement in rank, but I cannot take the time to instruct you. Let me check my schedule... Ah, yes, I can squeeze you in in 140 minutes or so. Come back then and I'll take care of you."

IS STUPID

Already gotta guy mastered in that, I dont think Im ever going to do it again. Even with cols idiocy its much faster, and some of the abilities are too good to pass up. Especially now that dreams is gone. Dreams and return were the only reason I ever wanted to be in Voln.

The only reason why I HAD a voln member now is for voln-fu.

With COL its something you gotta hang in there with until completion. I've known folks who have gone from start to master in 3 days going hard-core. For me it was usually done in 5.

as annoying as they are you have to understand why they are there. Someone could master col in a few hours without it.

I dont see a problem with that. I got my last 12 ranks in about 2 days cause I was pissed at losing ranks. Still though.. if you have to do it why make it anything more then 30 minutes?

So is there really a difference in a few hours vs a few days? Its something that only hurts those that play alot.. and yet they want you to play alot.

And taking away ranks? Please...

Anyone wants my shit-hot Wraith hunting script for going from 0-26 Voln in a week, let me know. Helps if you can MA with a hasting wizard. :)

I'd love it. I've been languishing on step, oh, 4 for about...3 years.

Isn't part of the COL storyline from the poobah something like you need to move as fast as you can through the ranks? You have to basically be not doing anything for a long time to get demoted like that.. or that's how it used to be.

"Trick me once, shame on you. Trick me twice, shame on me."

The investment to benefit ratio for CoL is infinitesimal.

Col needs a shot in the arm or something

They really should make a new storyline with COL.

I remember when i first found out about it and first mastered it was so much fun and even exciting, but then the lack of follow up was disapointing.

I was mastered for a good year or so and then one day i was dropped like half way down in my ranks. I assisted to a GM and showed him a log where I had it mastered.

He could not explain it and pretty much asked if I could just repeat everything. That was my first GM experience....
