- wickedly sharp rolaren waraxe
- 6x, permablessed, holy water,weighs 3 lbs.
R>exam war
The rolaren waraxe is a fine example of the workmanship of the ancient forgers of Velathae. The blade shines as if it is moving, due to the obvious sharpness of its blade. Inscribed in ancient runes along the blade are the words: "Salvation shall be the path of the undead." The intricately carved hilt is well-worn but a dragon with its wings out-stretched as if in flight can still be seen. The dragon's eyes are decorated with small smooth dragonfire sapphires and seem to glow with an inner light. A faint aura of holy light radiates from the waraxe.
You swing a wickedly sharp rolaren waraxe at an elder ghoul master!
AS: +154 vs DS: +52 with AvD: +32 + d100 roll: +47 = +181
... and hit for 27 points of damage!
Blow leaves an imprint on the elder ghoul master's chest!
** Your sharp rolaren waraxe sprays forth a shower of pure water! **
... 15 points of damage!
Splash to chest runs off before it does worse than blister the skin.
Roundtime: 5 sec.

That's the messaging you get when a Cleric over 50 blesses your weapon. It's hardly an indication of being permablessed

Buyer can judge the properties himself before anything changes hands, no worries.

Do you actually have dead kittens in your avatar, or are they just sleeping/anesthetized?
Oh..and nice axe.

I'm willing to listen to any reasonable offers, need to let this axe go for some armor. If you got PPs or a set of some crit padded plate I can probably make you a nice deal. Thanks.

If you knew a fucking thing about this, you'd acknowledge at least two things:
1) That's the messaging of holy water flares in general. There is only one kind.
2) That's the messaging when a cleric with at least 40 cleric spell ranks blesses a weapon. It's not even level based.

Actually, it's 40 ranks to bless magic metals. I believe it's either level 25 or 25 ranks to get the flares. I could be wrong about the number, but I know it's not 40.

This axe is not a normal weapon, it's a magical weapon. But it's 25 ranks for flares on unenchanted weapons, you're right.

If it were permablessed, it would sing as a "holy" weapon in the purpose verse of loresong.

You figure out for sure whether it is permablessed or just blessed?
Boris
11-25-2006, 11:57 PM
Bit difficult to pinpoint if something is permablessed or not. Bard songs can give a "holy" message or not. Really the only way to tell for sure is if you sit there and swing it until the bless fades or you're convinced it's permablessed.
Barring that though, 4 mil for a 6x blessable weapon with that show is still a bargain. Although I doubt the seller is going to let it go for that much.

All enchanted weapons should be blessable now though, so its basically just a 6x weapon.

What AestheticDeath said. I highly doubt any true permablessed weapons have "holy water" flares either. It's a plain 6x axe that's now blessed.

I definetly would agree. But then recently there was a precedent to this at the EG.
a silvery grey dwarven moon axe
- 5x, permabless, holy water flares, 85/200, edged, handaxe base
- show: The beautiful satin finish of the curved blade is unmarred, save for the decorative bas-relief stamp of an anvil on one side and a temple on the other. Two spiraling ribbons of gold have been inlaid along the length of the silvery grey maoral haft, ending at the white suede axe grip. A thin layer of shimmering eonake has been applied to the edge of the razor-sharp blade. A faint aura of holy light radiates from the axe.
This waraxe looks like it's from EG. Anyhow, I've asked the seller if I can see the weapon in action, and see if we can wear down any blesses if it does have any.

I'm just kinda curious why Bob went apeshit on my post when I was simply pointing out on the 1st page a condition (ok.. forgot with the change from GS3 to GS4 the ranks required dropped 10.. shit a solid gold eggroll why don't you) that everyone else agreed with 2 pages later...
I thought it was 40 ranks to bless magic, and at 50th rank in clerical your blesses gained holy water flares...

Auction is on pause until some testing has gained results. Seller can still of course test him or herself during purchase. Thanks.

<<I'm just kinda curious why Bob went apeshit on my post>>
Because you're saying untrue things in a thread where someone is trying to sell a weapon. And you're fucking stupid.
<<I was simply pointing out on the 1st page a condition (ok.. forgot with the change from GS3 to GS4 the ranks required dropped 10.. shit a solid gold eggroll why don't you) that everyone else agreed with 2 pages later...>>
Actually, that never happened.
<<I thought it was 40 ranks to bless magic, and at 50th rank in clerical your blesses gained holy water flares...>>
You think like a retard.

Blesses can be dispelled via 119.
>l batt
A faint aura of holy light radiates from the battlesword.
>pre 119
You utter a light chant and raise your hands, beckoning the lesser spirits to aid you with the Spirit Dispel spell...
Your spell is ready.
>cast my batt
You gesture at a burnished vultite battlesword.
The searing white light that was once imbedded in the vultite battlesword dissipates.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
>l batt
You see nothing unusual.
so should be easy enough to test.

I would not recommend casting dispel at a weapon. Too many times people have unenchanted their gear doing that.

There ya go again Bob.. shitting more eggrolls...
Geeze, you work at a resturant or something? Most folks just STEAL the food, do you REALLY need to be shoving it up your ass? You remind me of the guy I used to tease about eating 'Chef-Boy-R-U-An-Asshole'.
