You swing a XXXX at a greater ghoul!
AS: +104 vs DS: +12 with AvD: +30 + d100 roll: +12 = +134
... and hit for 24 points of damage!
Blade slashes across the greater ghoul's face!
Nice nose job.
Roundtime: 7 sec.
R>ambush ghoul head
You swing a XXXX at a greater ghoul!
AS: +104 vs DS: +11 with AvD: +30 + d100 roll: +43 = +166
... and hit for 53 points of damage!
Solid strike caves the greater ghoul's skull in, resulting in instant death!
The greater ghoul falls to the ground motionless.
Roundtime: 7 sec.

You swing a XXXX at a lesser ghoul!

The lesser ghoul falls to the ground motionless.

Latrinsorm what do you say?

It's handaxe base, and ghouls are in skin? (says not wearing anything)

I say try to assess it. Though I'm sure you've tried that.

If you blessed it to hunt ghouls, then no. Unless it's permablessed.

Edited to add: Or it's sancted, and you're a cleric/paladin

If its permablessed or sancted it can be crit weighted? Will it show up in the Ai crystal?

It will show up on the AI crystal if it's weighted or blessable.

I know a weapon can be sancted + weighted. I don't think a permablessed weapon can, since I think permablessed uses the same slot as blessed/weighted. Just that the time = perm instead of a number of swings on the bless.

Take it to the crystal if you can't find someone to assess it.

under the old system weapons could not be permablessed and weighted, however under the current system it is indeed possible, I'd imagine it wouldnt be very common though.

It was possible, just used a kinda wonky script from my understanding.

Definitely was. The gem encrusted weapons certainly could do it. I owned the blunt morning star, and it could be permablessed and damage/crit weighted at the same time (depending on whether or not you used the appropriate gem(s)).

First thing to note when we're talking about backing out crit weighting is that the DEX bonus of player characters provides natural crit weighting. Thus, even if I do see crit weighting, it doesn't necessarily mean the handaxe is weighted.

That said, the first hit has no explicit evidence of weighting, by which I mean there didn't have to be any weighting to achieve the crit rank (2). There couldn't have been any more than 11 points of crit weighting.

In the second hit, there is no explicit evidence of weighting. Because it's a rank 5 crit, there could be infinite crit weighting without making the hit impossible. Same with the third hit.

Your best bet is always to use in-game mechanics to see if or how much crit weighting a weapon has. Loresong, AI crystal, and warrior assessing can all say if a weapon has weighting, but only warrior assessing can say exactly how much.
