I've heard this was released already, has anyone got it?

Would like to know what its like, what kind of system you need to run it. What system is best..

From what I hear, it's the exact same as NWN but with new graphics.

I've got it, on the second chapter.

The graphics are new and "improved". They really are good they just take some getting used to, as do the controls. There is a quick fix to make it like WoW controls if you google around.

So far story seems decent, and yes gameplay is similar to NWN1. However, NWN1 was frickin great, so I'm excited for the rest of it.

Got it a week or two back. It's....meh. Good but for the graphics, which aren't amazing, and incredibly demanding PC wise. The lack of PW's online is also very frustrating (which was a major, major factor in NWN's success). Full 3.5 ed rules now too, which makes it better, I guess.

The camera is fucking annoying.

Are there any new class's to play? New spells or anything?

New Spells, Monsters, Races and Subraces and Prestige Classes. The toolset is significantly better as well.

Hehe, I just spent a few minutes trying to find the damn requirements, and even the atari site doesnt have it. Had to wade through a buncha forums and questionaire places..

Anyhow, my system apparantly is a long ways from running the game, it doesnt even meet the required specs, much less the recommended.

Oh well.

I can't believe how much it would cost to build a system that will play this damn game. Was like $4000-$7000 for a Alienware system. Was around $4200 for a Dell XPS

Is there a way to build a good system for under $2000?

Yes. Don't buy a stupid stock machine from some overpriced dealer. Build your own.

I just bought a new laptop about 2 months ago and NWN2 runs fine on it (with all the graphics maxed out). An HP something or other (I'm not really a tech spec guy) that I paid about $1500 for.

In any event, I just beat it a few days ago and thought it was good. The ending was kind of dumb, but otherwise it's a good game. I'm looking forward to see what modules people will be putting out in the next few months.

<<I can't believe how much it would cost to build a system that will play this damn game. Was like $4000-$7000 for a Alienware system. Was around $4200 for a Dell XPS>>

That's because you're dealing with Alienware and Dell.

<<Is there a way to build a good system for under $2000?>>

A $50 case, $150 motherboard, $30 power supply, $150 hard drive, $150 video card, $150 sound card, $50 DVD+/-RW drive, and $15 NIC go a long way.

my three year old Dell runs it ok. It's fun but the load times are so annoying.

it's like, wait 5 minutes for the dang thing to load or fire up Gemstone in three seconds.....

The next patch (1.03) is going to clear up a lot of graphics problems I think. The people who run the beta patch reported increased framerates with increased settings.

I have a three year old Dell as well. But yours could still be a better computer then mine.

What are the stats on the comps you guys are using?

Mine is intel pentium 4 at 1.8GHz, 512 ram with a Nvidia Gforce fx 5200 - 128mb ddr

which sounds like its basically half of the min specs required to play.

It's got a 2.4 ghz Pentium 4, 512 RAM, ATI radeon 9800 pro 128mb (self installed, didn't come with computer).

Not sure about the RAM, didn't change it and I don't think it's DDR but I could be wrong.

Surprisingly my 2+ year old video card is still OK compared to today's cards, but I'd love to get a new one.

www.gamebashee.com has a good amount of information on the game. I like it; I played the original, and am just getting into 2. It reminds me a lot of KOTOR, which is always a good thing.

I have talked to a few of my friends and they don't really see the point of play NWN2. It is a shame that it is such a resource hog.

I goto magicmicro.com and for about 1k can have a top of the lien MB, video card, processor and a nice LED glowing case. Don't let those Alienware fools trick you into buying their crap.

Yep. For the hardware it needs, the game looks really poor.
