Auctioning the prep phrase ring I won at the EG auction. The phrases do not change based on race or profession, nor does it take up a ring slot in your inventory when worn. Minimum starting bid is 25 million silvers, and I will update daily with ONCE, TWICE, THREE times and SOLD. There is no current buy out set.

Please send all bids to LadyJolena@hotmail.com OR post here.

Here's the info on the ring -

Neutral - a silver-blue sapphire ring

Alania makes a quick, circular gesture...

Blessed - a cerulean sapphire ring

>
Kadesha raises a hand while murmuring a soft orison...
Kadesha gestures at a silver-blue sapphire ring.
Kadesha's ring flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a cerulean sapphire ring.

Alania makes a long, circular gesture, leaving a blue trail through the air...
Alania gestures.

Cursed - a blue-black sapphire ring

Mekthros traces a sign that contorts in the air while he forcefully incants a dark invocation...
Mekthros accepts Alania's sapphire ring.
Mekthros gestures at a silver-blue sapphire ring.
Mekthros's ring flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a blue-black sapphire ring.

Alania murmurs under her breath, uttering only harsh, guttural sounds...
Alania gestures.

Scripts/details:

Message seen when wearing the ring (no matter if its neutral/blessed/cursed):

1st person - You slide a cerulean sapphire ring onto your finger and it flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a hazy blue mist. The blue mist collapses onto your finger, absorbing into your skin.

3rd person -
Alania slides a cerulean sapphire ring onto her finger and it flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a hazy blue mist. The blue mist collapses on Alania's finger, absorbing into her skin.

You take a moment to observe everything you can about Alania, storing the details away for possible future use.

You see Lady Alania the Herbmistress.
She appears to be an Aelotoi.
She appears to be in the bloom of youth and shorter than average. She has long-lashed stormy green eyes and tanned skin. She has shoulder length, curly chestnut hair with lighter streaks. She has a delicate face, a small nose and dimpled cheeks. She has a pair of dusky midnight blue-veined translucent silver-tipped wings.
She has a blue ring tattoo on her finger.
She is in good shape.

The color or image of the tattoo on the finger will not change no matter if the ring is cursed/blessed/neutral. It will always be a 'blue ring tattoo' on the finger.

To remove the ring, you remove the tattoo:

1st person -
You clench your injured hand in pain, squeezing small pieces of flesh that you cut away from your finger and causing blood to stream out between your fingers. The warm scraps of flesh in your hand grow suddenly cold, and you can feel something firm in your grasp. Feeling suddenly exhausted, you let your hand fall open, revealing a cerulean sapphire ring sitting in your palm.

3rd person -
Alania begins carving relentlessly into her own flesh to remove her ring tattoo!

Alania cries out in pain and slumps to the ground!
Alania clenches her hand in pain, causing blood to stream out between her fingers. A moment passes and Alania lets her hand fall open limply, revealing a silver-blue sapphire ring sitting in her palm.

The ring doesn't take up a ring slot when you wear it, and is not attuned. When you have blessed it, if you want to change its state for new prep phrases, you must use Spirit Dispell -

You utter a light chant and raise your hands, beckoning the lesser spirits to aid you with the Spirit Dispel spell...
Your spell is ready.
You gesture at a cerulean sapphire ring.
Your ring flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a silver-blue sapphire ring.

This changes it back to neutral.

To remove the curse on the ring, you must cast the spell Uncurse, and it will change back to neutral again.

Here is the loresong -

A great hall opens before you, overseen by a regal-looking elf sitting on a raised throne. Before the elf stand what must be his three sons, if physical traits are any indication, each wearing a stately turquoise tunic with a dagger or sword strapped firmly to his slender form. An elf kneeling before the three presents each with a ring of sapphire, as crowds of elves assembled in the hall politely applaud. Each of the three sons receives his ring in turn, and then a herald pronounces, "May these symbols serve and exhibit the good status and rank of the heir to the throne and his brothers during their campaign against the undead hordes, despite what Blessings or Curses fortune may bestow." The hall bursts into cheering and applause, which lingers in the back of your mind moments after the vision has ended.

Screams fill your ears as mobs of undead throw themselves into combat against the primarily elven force that surrounds you. A sapphire banner bearing the embroidered image of a peacock is held above a portion of the elven fighting force. Dozens of zombies, skeletons, and ghouls engage the elves at this, the front line of overwhelming forces on either side. Suddenly a great deal of elven yelling can be heard over the din of battle, and the battle standard seen earlier jerks violently before being knocked to the ground. A sudden surge of defenders push back the throng of undead, revealing the three elven princes. The youngest brother lies wounded, tended by one of his siblings who quickly issues orders to the nearby infantry to bolster the line while the fallen is carried from the field of battle. The vision slowly fades.

A tomb of white stone sits in a small glade, surrounded by gravemarkers and similar vaults. A cool breeze passes through the shaded clearing, bringing with it fresh spring air. All is still except for the slight twitching and swaying of tree branches and a small cluster of daisies at the edge of the clearing. The soft light shining down on the glade dims, as the sky slowly rusts before yielding to the quiet of night.

The rustling of leaves announces two figures as they emerge at the edge of the clearing. They quickly amble over to the tomb, and in ambling through the midst of the glade, the moonlight reveals an elf and his giantman companion. The large fellow stands a few feet away from the vault, surveying the graveyard. His gaze moves across you without pause. Meanwhile, his partner makes a violent racket, shaking the chain that blocks entrance to the tomb. After what seems like several minutes, a rusted lock falls to the ground, and the chain clatters to the ground. The elf lights a lantern and slides quickly past the entrance of the tomb. A shriek emanates from the vault, sending the elf's sentry running for the cover of the nearby forest. The elf emerges from the tomb, grabbing and shaking his hand in a panic. The light of the lantern shows what appears to be a sapphire ring on his hand. A second shriek emits from the tomb, causing the elf to abandon his lantern and flee in the direction of his companion.

A blue sapphire ring sits on a large block, separating a tired looking auctioneer from a rowdy crowd of rough adventurer-types. A voice from the back of the crowd yells, "What does it do!?" and another exclaims, "Auction off somethin' good!" followed by snickering from across the room. Despite the insufferable crowd, the auctioneer continues his service, and the ring is sold to a respectable looking human woman.

So that is always the phrase it gives you?

So that is always the phrase it gives you?

In its given state, I'll let the seller correct me if I'm wrong but here is how I believe it works in as short a form as I can spit it out:

You have said ring, if you wear it turns to tattoo and turns your profession circle preps to a special prep. Before you wear it you have the option of having curse or bless cast at it to change its look and prep phrase. So all in all the ring can provide one of three special prep phrases for your profession circle.

On a side note, that lore song leaves me wanting a more detailed story on the brothers as a whole, I'm lame like that.

So those three phrases are the same for ALL professions?

fallenSaint

Again I don't speak for the seller but from the information I read through in the initial post it would appear the messaging will look the same no matter what profession wears it. But given as this is the only ring of its type I'm aware of in game its still unique messages, pretty nifty how you can have one of three custom phrases with relatively little work.

The messaging for Bards is different. Give me a couple hours and I'll post it.

Wizard, Ranger, Empath, are the same. I'll do Cleric and Bard in a few, I'm cookin dinner at the moment.

Wizard, Ranger, Empath, Sorcerer have the same phrases when worn in whatever state you choose to have it set in (ie. neutral, cursed, blessed). The Bard message is different (as of a recent change by the creator) because the prep phrase currently available with the ring would not make sense for a bard 'song'. So, we're going to test it tonight and post here with the 'song phrase' changes.

And in answer to the other questions, yes it is the same for all other professions if they wear the ring and cast from their profession circle. However, as has been mentioned, there is only one of these rings, so it is unique. Noone else has these phrases as it is only available to someone wearing this ring.

Updated again to add the bard song phrases-

Cursed:
Rimado slides a blue-black sapphire ring onto his finger and it flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a hazy blue mist. The blue mist collapses on Rimado's finger, absorbing into his skin.
Rimado chants a sinister, rhythmic verse...
Rimado sings a melody.
Rimado begins to sing of heroic deeds and appears to be bolstered.

Neutral:
Rimado slides a silver-blue sapphire ring onto his finger and it flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a hazy blue mist. The blue mist collapses on Rimado's finger, absorbing into his skin.
Rimado intones a soft, mournful melody...
Rimado skillfully begins to weave another verse into his harmony.
Rimado sings of Kai's many triumphs, lifting his spirits.

Blessed:
Rimado slides a cerulean sapphire ring onto his finger and it flickers out of existence briefly, reappearing as a hazy blue mist. The blue mist collapses on Rimado's finger, absorbing into his skin.
Rimado begins a quiet, gloomy song...
Rimado skillfully begins to weave another verse into his harmony.
Rimado begins to sing of valiant legends and appears to be more protected.

Hmm I do have a bard I play. But he's more of an angry destructive bard than an emo bard. But nice ring.

30 Million x $14 per = $420. I'd say that paid for the raffle ticket and then some. Congrats! That is awesome.

Thank you, though I won't be selling the silvers. I honestly had 3 items in mind when I went to the auction. After 1 1/2 days of auctioning, we were able to acquire one (the Sylvan earcuff) and quickly realized the others were not within our limits. So..I got the ring. I like it, but after restocking the shops and spending money for friends to get their 'dream' auction items, we depleted our funds a great deal. This just replenishes them. :)

Can't believe the relevance the loresong implies on the ring is completely lost in translation.

Read close, it more or less makes someone of a fitting bloodline (Illistim elf), the heir to the throne. It's the signet ring which indicates the heir.

Who cares about prep phrases, it's a ticket to royalty!

It's a gift though, not inherited, which would indicate it's not indicative of heirdom.
