Latrinsorm

Amazingly, this week is already down to two people: Apathy (not so amazing) and me (WTFOSAURAS??).

1) Atlanta has to be the most bipolar team of all time.
2) Tromp picked Miami, but I picked the Jets and the Texans. Those are upsets, my friends.
3) The Lions hadn't been favored by the PC in a single game all year. They were favored 14-3 over the 49ers this week and (of course) lost. The same thing happened a couple years ago playing some other crappy team. The moral of the story is the Detroit Lions should just stop reading the PC. Guys, it's just a bad idea.

I'm almost at a loss for words at this point, and it's looking like Denver might actually lose to the RAIDERS? When did ESPN start covering the Bizarro Football League?

Apathy
11-12-2006, 07:27 PM
I think you need to double check that math Latrin. I'm no where near in this.

X Baltimore
X Indianapolis
- Atlanta
X Green Bay (who knows if Minnesota shows up or not)
- Jacksonville
- Kansas City
- New England
X San Diego
- Detroit
X Philadelphia
X Denver
- Arizona
- New Orleans
- St. Louis

Apparently everyone had less than 6 wins so far.

Bobmuhthol

Which is weird, because I have 7.

Latrinsorm
11-12-2006, 08:13 PM
I think you need to double check that math Latrin. I'm no where near in this.At the time of the writing, I had 8 (in the lead) and you had 5. The reason you were still in is because you were the only one who had as many different picks from me as picks behind. Alfster (at the time of the writing) also had 5 correct picks but could not tie because he and I only differed on two picks (PIT/NO and CHI/NYG).

In any event, Dallas beat Arizona and Seattle beat St. Louis, either of which was sufficient to give me the victory. I'll post full standings for this week tomorrow, but as I'm sure everyone is aware, they're not very good.

What a fucking joke of a second half. Cinci needs to find a new defensive coord. I mean, play hard in the first half then do nothing to stay on top of them in the second? Fuck. At least Chad had like 250 yds. receiving, and Carson chucked for 450. It was entertaining.

If the Panthers don't win tonight, this will be the first week all year the PC had less than 50% pick accuracy. This is already the first week the PC will have less than 50% collective favorite accuracy. What does this mean?

Once Peyton wins a Super Bowl, he'll be up there with pretty much just Young (Steve) as the great quarterbacks in recent memory. It's unreasonable to expect Eli to be anywhere near as good, especially with a name like Eli. I think Eli will be a very good quarterback, somewhere on the order of a Tom Brady.

If Peyton wins a Super Bowl and doesn't have his career snapped short, he will be the greatest QB ever. He's already really close to that accolade.

BLASPHEMY! Jim Kelly!

As an aside, there's a running joke between my employees utilizing the Man-Law that states if you have a favorite team that sucks, it's okay to use the excuse that it's "a rebuilding phrase". We were talking AFC playoff picture and some moron comes up and says "The Bills are going to win it all from the 6th seed, just like the Steelers did.", which had me and the other person who actually knows football speechless for a moment. Almost in precision, we look at the guy and say.....Jim Kelly.

After the "Who's that?" we heard, I knew I had to ignore that person.

also Vince young isn't overrated

Vick is

Remember this

Vince runs fasters, Can toss a 80+ yard pass FLAT FOOTED
has WAY WAY better accuracy, and has better touch on his throws then vick
is taller then vick, has a quicker release on his throws, has WAY WAY better field Presence and awareness then vick

Get YHoung some decent players, and a few years andhe'lll be taking the titans to the playoffs and maybe more

Vick isn't that great, young has the ablity to be one of the best

We can tell you're a Vince Young fan, but some things are learned with time, not ability.
