My buddy got it and said it's pretty damn impressive. A lot of areas where you have to use your surroundings to hide, cover, strategize, etc. against the enemy but also a lot of times where you can just go ape shit and blast stuff. He said the graphics and game play are incredibly smooth. Surrounding buildings and landscapes are VERY nice looking. I'm just passing HIS opinion..so if any of you disagree..feel free to rip HIM and not ME. heh

I bought it yesterday. Was in a line with a bunch of nerds waiting to purchase. Cover is a very important feature in the game, if you run around in the open you're gonna get killed. The graphics are amazing, the sound is good too. The standard assualt rifle weapon isn't terribly powerful but you'll love it when you get close to the enemy and melee them with the chainsaw bayonet which is sickening, highly satisfying and gruesome kill. I haven't used all of the other weapons but I like the magnum, if you put a head shot on a locust without a helmet it drops them in one shot. The grenades are fun to melee with, you just slam one inside the chest of the locust and then run and hopefully clear the blast radius before it detonates. There's a bit of a learning curve, more than Halo, but after about 30 minutes you feel ok and after about two hours you feel like a pro.

Regarding the bayonet chainsaw on your assault rifle: I've been calling when you grab the enemy and saw them in half "sawdomizing" them. I'm really glad there aren't any microphones sitting around my house broadcasting what I say because it could really be misconstrued. I was charging at my friend in a multi-player battle the other day and I said, "I just want to sawdomize you so bad, I don't care if I die, it's so much fun." Then I thought about what'd I'd just said...

Well, I've logged probably 60 hours on this game in the past few weeks. I just can't stop playing it. Both on Xbox Live and in campaign mode, this game lacks in very few categories. It really shines in Live though.. I can sit and play 12 hours straight. The controls are a little different, but only take a short time to get down. I would personally recommend this for anyone who likes shooter games. However, fair warning, there IS a fair amount of strategy involved in this (as far as shooter games go).. More on Live than in campaign. I personally feel this adds to the game, but that's just me.

I give GoW 9.25 out of 10.

General Raam. I can only imagine how annoying it's going to be. I'm probably going to do it co-op, have a friend and myself both with torque bows and sniper rifles.

I got the game I thought it was boring.. You do the same shit over and over again. Shoot duck Shoot duck.. Run to other hiding spot ... Shoot duck Shoot duck.. Wash and repeat.
