I bought a Gemstone Mug some time ago... it's a kick ass quality mug, my favorite. It's this silver marbled blue with a silver axe and Gemstone written on it, bad ass. (Oh, and it's huge, not your standard pussy mug)

I was going to take all of mine and turn them into jewelry, but at a regular jewelry store it would cost a bunch and I haven't had time to take them to my friend's dad who will do it for free.

I have a line of them displayed on my desk. It's kinda cool seeing them all.

Custom jewelry with poor quality gems that aren't worth much even if they were great quality to begin with? That'd be like putting nice rims and tires on a Yugo. Although, if your friend's dad makes jewerly from pasta and yarn it might work.

I have my Get Fuzzy mug at work (because I read my comics at work) and I keep my Gemstone mug at my desk at home (where I play Gemstone). I figure it's more appropriate.

...Although I only wear my GS T-Shirt on days where I won't be out in public.

I imagine there's a lot of variance, but the gem I got was actually a lot nicer than I was expecting. I plan to have it set in some jewelry eventually because of that.

That's pretty much what happened to mine. You can get higher quality stuff out of the little quarter machines in front of Wal-Mart. But it's free, so who cares.

I won't let mine get washed in the dish washer, hand washed only, that's key, shiny as ever. It does feel bad ass though, it's solid.
