DC and elemental lores

Any of you train the elemental lores for increasing the effectiveness of Dark Catalyst?

If so, please post which lores you train, the ranks, and let us know how much it has helped the damage.

I have a sorcerer who is trained with 1 rank in all four E-lores, and I am not sure how much it actually helps. Just trying to guage the worth of spending extra points in that area.

It helps slightly, but it's not nearly worth the TP's invested.

I would dump all those ranks into 1 lore, and stop at 10. That is when diminishing returns kick in for the damage boost. I would suggest Fire.

Agree on the fire part. Lightning isn't so great these days due to the Temple in Teras.

Well, part of my thinking was the fire/water (hot/cold) for use against the stone creatures. One of you tried 10+ of each against illoke?
So mostly just drop the air and earth?

edit - I am trying to figure out a quick kill method on these guys. I can use 717 on some(trolls and giants), but at the level this sorcerer is at, he cant reliably ward anything else with +200 endroll. So beyond getting more levels, I am looking for a kill for less than 43 mana without using implosion. Mostly hunting stone trolls/giants and illoke for coins. Right now all thats working is 410, and 3x 711. 705 takes more mana than that, and I dont wanna try plinking with 702. They are dangerous enough I dont wanna leave them alive very long. I dont wanna waste too much mana on setup and disabling spells. Would be nice if I could get 711 to do more then 30-35% dmg.

So right now, I am looking at two options:

Waste a ton of TPs trying to get as close to tripled in spells as I can for max CS, and better 717 kills

Or try and get DC to work in 1-2 casts.

Raise your CS then. Don't count on the difference training in lores gives to DC.
It's hardly worth it.

If your concern is mana then you might consider using 718.

Don't forget to sacrifice the creatures.. used to get about 78 mana from the giants and stone mastiffs.
