I am looking for a self-charging or self-mana item that casts the Skinning spell.

No mage-rechargables please.

There's skinning knive out there that give a better bonus to skinning than the spell, and they've only gone for around 50mil. Don't think the skinning spell would go for much more.

Then you'd be wrong. There are three variants of the skinning knife: One that radically increases your chance to skin. This costs about 30 mil. One that vastly improves the quality of the skin (100 mil), and one, I think, that does both.

I've used the 30 mil version with minimul training. Yeah it allowed me to skin everything. But each skin was worth 10 silvers.

Stay is right on all counts, price and everything. The third I never seen on the open market, but I know children were sold into slavery for it!

The "flawless" skinning knives which pretty much always skinned mangificent skins (with zero skinning skill) unless you damaged the skin beforehand, were recently changed and no longer skin "flawlessley".

They still grant a significant bonus to skinning, but are now most useful for "trained skinners."

I suspect the knives were tweaked because of the bounty system's release.
