The WoW Diet: 41 lbs in 90 days

Greg shed 41 lbs. from a 274-pound frame in just 3 months -- and did it playing World of Warcraft. Word?

Dubbed "Warbiking," Greg strapped a keyboard onto the display of his stationary bike (Schwinn 213 Recumbent) and used a side table to operate his mouse. He hung a 46-inch Samsung LCD to hold his attention, outputting WoW from his XPS Gen 2 laptop. Truth be told, Warbiking was only part of the regimen, which included weightlifting, a low calorie diet, and even fasting; but WoW was the cornerstone for the weight loss, as Greg attests:

"I really think the Warbiking had a LOT to do with how well I did, and how much I lost. I have done over *100* hours of cardio in three months, which is wild. There is NO WAY I could have done that without Warcraft ... it's [sic] ability to suck me in and make me ignore what I'm physically doing is amazing, and made this possible."

Yo Blizzard, you payin' attention? This guy could totally be the next 'Jared.'

Not only is he level 60, not only is he a lot skinnier now, but I bet his cardiovascular system's killer compared to how it was a few months ago.

Fasting?

Grats to him, but I'd take fasting out of the routine for continued weight loss. Not really healthy if he's already dieting and weighs that much.

Scott has suggested I do this while I play Gemstone. Somehow I get the feeling if I show him this thread he is going to bolt and get some duct tape.

Its a clever idea. I may just have to try it. <casts a sidelong glance at her dust-collecting excersise bike>

When I was living at my parents home and had my own treadmill I used to run while I watched hunting scripts. I ran regardless but it was a good way for me to entertain myself while I was running.

I burn calories at the computer because I'm more jittery than a Crackhead. Seriously... it's scary... my legs don't stop moving. Ever.

Made me one hell of a track star in high school (8th in NYS in the 400 dash).

I bought one of those exercise pedals (just the pedals that you'd put under your desk, etc) and they totally blow. There's no resistance, and if you turn the resistance up, it's so jerky it's impossible to use.
