While I didn't know him personally, a friend mentioned it to me and there is also a thread about it under the socializing folder on the official boards.

The player of Galyden, also GH Naremore, was killed by an IED in Iraq on October 22nd. He had a wife and a baby.

Contact information hasn't been posted yet, but those who knew him and/or wish to send their condolences may wish to keep an eye on that particular thread, as it will likely be posted there soon.

Just thought I'd mention it here.

That royally sucks. I had a really good friend die from an IED in Iraq. My best to his friends and family.

Galyden was a friend of a friend. I met him a few times when I was finally old enough to visit Teras, his last known haunt before becomming a GM.

Thats sad to hear. My thoughts go out to his wife and child.
