Cheating is just as much a part of baseball as is hotdogs and peanuts.

Besides I'm sure he didn't have any foreign substance.. all his are made right here in the U.S of A.

Yea, apparently it was just dirt that he brushed off of his hand.

I loved the post-game interview. His shoulder and wriste had *huge* icepacks on them, and heavily wrapped up. Kinda the same way you'd see football players in the locker room after a hard-hitting game.

He did a great job pitching, especially for a 41-yrs old, so it cracked me up to see him like that.

42 years and 2 weeks old.

He only had the "substance" on his hand for one inning, so it's hard to say that's the sole source of his power.

In a larger sense, I'm anxiously awaiting the retractions from all the people whose hardons for the American League were surpassed only by their revulsion for the National League. A guy wins 5 games in the NL and holds the mighty Tigers to 1 run over 8 innings? :o I guess the Tigers should have stuck with AAAA games.

I don't think anyone from the Cards complained, aside from the usual manager asking an ump to check a player, and that was done when the game was tied and the Cards are up in the series.
