I'm curious as to what the populace's thoughts are on the Gemstone IV postponement?

I think it's a good thing, myself. I'm as anxious as anyone to see the change, but I think that a lot more reevaluation and tweaking could benefit the game immensely.

At the risk of typing too much while I'm high on Tylenol, what do you all think?

1. You can't get high on tylenol.

2. I don't care, as I don't play anymore.

heh.

I think it was generally expected. The announcement didn't strike me as much of a surprise. I haven't been keeping up to date on GSIV folders on the official boards but just from posts leaking into other topics the test version still seems like it has more bugs than bloated honey-filled corpse out in a rain forest.

If you take enough of the ones with codine in them, you can get a nice buzz.

That would be codeine, then, not tylenol. And not available over the counter.

We will likely launch Platinum on a Tuesday, and launch Prime on a Thursday. We will be down the full day of the launch until around 6:00 PM Eastern. Of course, if we're having technical difficulties, we may go longer than 6:00 PM Eastern.

It's available OTC in Canada. Crazy Canadians.

I think, actually, that they'll give us at least a week advance notice. That's just a common sense assumption, though, so don't mind me.

And now, for someone who didn't realize that trying to insult me would lear to her own ridicule:

AutumnDay: Tierus is laughed at pathetically
AutumnDay: almost as bad as Warclaidhm
AutumnDay: but not quite

From the way the GMs are talking, including Melissa, they're going to give a few days warning before going down to change over for the launch. Well.. they'd better. This is fine with me though. I'd rather they say they won't give a date and work on the bugs than to go on the launch date and have it go berzerk.

I shall continue as I have, acting like an ostrich with its head in the sand, hoping said launch is in typical Simu RSN fashion. If it's RSN, I've got a good year before I need to worry.

I'm guessing January.

I think they need just hush up about it with the dates until they are POSITIVE and have a solid date. Until then.. It's just a big frustration.
