There has been a distressing trend lately toward trolling individual members from thread to thread, often derailing the thread. While I understand that not all of you are compatible in your views, this kind of posting is not acceptable and is covered in TOS. For your edification, I will post the applicable section of TOS that applies to this behavior:
Hostile Posts
"Any member or group of members who persistently incite or provoke hostility towards other members are in violation of forum policy and subject to a violation increase of at least 1 and at most 15. This includes harassment, establishing a pattern of antagonism from thread to thread, and thread derailments of an insulting nature."
We've tried to be somewhat understanding of this type of posting as we realize that disagreements do occur. However, those disagreements can take place in PMs, or IMs, or email. They do not have to take place here, particularly when they cause thread derailment, or target a particular individual virtually every time that individual posts an opinion on any subject, anywhere on the boards.
Those of you who have been indulging in this kind of behavior may want to take note - or not. It's up to you. I will be watching the threads and using the rule quoted above when applicable.
