shadow mastery

ok what gives, I redid my stats with advice from people here and Xaerve and now have tripled in hiding and was doing great never sniffed out of hiding.. two days ago I decided to get shadow mastery to 4 ranks(had 0 previously) and have been sniffed out 4 times since then using it. Is this just bad luck and strange coincedence?
also the third rank of shadow mastery reduced sneak to 2 sec. the 4th reduced hiding to 2 sec. does the 5th further reduce any rt's?

I believe the 5th rank reduces the Sneak RT one more time. And as far as being sniffed out your probably running into bad luck but keep in mind, if they are older than you its easier, if they are an animal of some time itll be easier, and if they are undead your effed.

And ^^^ what FallenSaint said about some animals being able to detect you easier, especially when they're older.
