hmm, forgot to mention a few things. After Kesir realized that i can kill him on my own, and my friends killed his friends(quite easily) he proceeded to warn me and my friends against interactment. Unfortionately for his friend Vedric he proceeded to get himself banned by abusing the Ardenai Temple Knight recruitment tent. Not to mention killing people who were in the tent. As for Kesir Querceus and Armaros(all 4 are the same, i would guess Yaba is as well due to his role in the log above) they are all banned as well i believe. I know I had fun that day, im sure Izalude Aetheri and Elrodin did as well.

If you had bothered to look at the log you would have noticed my friends did not enter until Kesir started using his older characters, being as i was maybe 5 at the time that happened there was no way i would be able to hold my own against a titled wizard. Anyway i killed kesir on my own right in the beginning. If he is going to drag me out of my table and fire an arrow at me then i dont think that classifies as unconsented PVP so ill just pretend you werent an idiot and move on.

Kesir and friends were plucked from the game that night, as soon as they were pulled they logged off. So they have not been booted yet but once they stay long enough to be spoken to they will be.

Second, Aetheri only slept Kesir, he killed Vedric when Vedric attacked. Finally, Elrodin is a friend of mine, not my own character. Enough said, i have wasted enough of my time responding to your lack of understanding.

Slapping is consent for PvP (if you don't instigate the slap). Go check the official Gemstone boards where you can hear that from Khaladon, Andraste, and Brauden.

Uh, sorry, but im gonna have to call a lie here, every single GM AND HOST has different takes on the policy, its not written in stone as it should be, yeah, i noticed the spirit strike, but lets say you threw the first punch in a fight, and were going to court for it, would your defense be, "He clenched his fists up, obviously he was looking for a fight"?

There is a difference between what they say what is written down. If someone slapped me and I killed them (which I probably wouldn't do unless it was like this case) and a GM pulled me up and said "Well, that is a PvP violation." All I would do is simply point out the post on the boards by three different GM's and I'm sure nothing would happen. If you have any amount of intellegence you can kill someone for insulting your race and get away with it. I'll never use the warn, challege crap and I kill people all the time (with one of my evil/ass characters) and never get warnings. You can make a slap, an insult, or even simply being pointed out of hiding consent for PvP if you know what you're doing. When it comes to PvP the GM's are easy to persuade, especially when you can just point out three posts from GM's that say slapping is consent.

AS for the other part of the statement. If you have a gun in your pocket, and some guy just points the gun at you, do you have the right to fire your gun? Maybe a clenched fist isn't, but if someone has a gun pointed at me, I wouldn't hold anything back if I had the chance.... Either way, this is all pointless because whoever Kyrthos is, he hasn't done anything that would get him in trouble if he has any intelligence. I don't like how he handled it, seems to me like the last part was an MA kill.

By the way, consented PvP could have started when Kesir came in and slapped the Dhe'nar. What would *you* do if someone you didn't know walked up to you while you were on the street, said, "I hate black people." and slapped you?

That's consent to beat their ass.

Kesir walked in, looked at a stranger, slapped him and said he hated his race. Sounds like grounds for a serious beating or death to me! After that no other characters should have been involved so that's where they were both wrong. But I found NO fault in what Kyrthos did, so please, STFU and leave the guy alone.

I wasn't that impressed with either side of this conflict.. but it wasn't a CvC interaction anyways.. so not quite my cup of tea.

I can tell you though.. there is a big difference.

I've killed/maimed/attacked well over 100 characters with my thief character. That's probably a very low estimate by the way. BUT.. in those cases, my attacks were very much in character and very much consistant with the roleplay I have chosen for him.

I've never once been pulled up in the lounge for a 'discussion' because of it. Heck, I've gotten RPAs before because of it.

PvP is when the two players behind the characters want to have a pissing contest and it has nothing to do with anything in Elanthia.

CvC and PvP? Not really much of a difference with most people. Considering that most players take GS so seriously and personally.

What I'm saying is that while you may be roleplaying, the other person will probably take it seriously. And since I don't think its possible to have a PvC or CvP situation, most likely it would be categorized as PvP when they start to strike back with all 10 of there characters.
