View Full Version : Favorite TV Shows
The new season shows have started, more or less, and there are always the good old standbys.
New season of The Wire on HBO is falling into place on the fourth episode. I feel like the first few episodes of the series was kind of some recap and set up. But now they are starting to gel into the main story.
The Sunday night line up on HBO is over. They play movies now with The Wire at 9. Plus, you can see the new episode on demand before it airs on Sunday. I’ve already watched tomorrow night’s new episode twice.
I’ve been meaning to check out The Office and Shark, but I have no idea when they are on.
Tonight is the season premier of SNL with Dane Cook (eh) and The Killers. I almost always watch SNL unless I am out on the town.
My only other TV must is Sundays, depending on what time I get up. CBS Sunday Morning is always entertaining and informative. Then Meet the Press with Tim Russert and I love McLaughlin Group afterwards. Of course, 60 Minutes on Sunday nights. They have started their new season as well.
Daily Show and Colbert Report of course. I hate Southpark, but I am looking forward to the new season of Drawn Together and the new animated series Freak Show.

I'm incredibly annoyed that the two shows I really watch, CSI and Grey's Anatomy, are on at the exact same time.
Other than that, I'm not really excited about anything this season.

I’ve seen Gray’s Anatomy. Those doctors spend more time fooling around with each other than saving people.

I watch re-runs of Northern Exposure on my computer. God I love/d that show.
Grey's Anatomy is the only show I make it a point to watch. I don't spend much time with my television but when I do, I generally watch Discovery/TLC/History/Travel/Food, etc.

have you checked out that new Anne Heche show? The radio keeps hyping it as the next "Northern Exposure". I haven't watched it yet, I think it's called "Men In Trees"
For me:
Lost, Heroes, Smallville, Survivor: Racist Islands, & 24 (next year FTL)
I also enjoy the Daily Show and about every third Colbert Report.

Absolute cult classic.
I sometimes put on a box set and lie with chips and soda for hours and hours till they're done, and end up feeling completely immersed in their little world.

Family Guy, without a question.
It is, however, followed closely by House, Smith, How I Met Your Mother, and Two and a Half Men.

I watched the first episode and wasn't too impressed. It's cute, but it's definitely not as 'sharp' and intelligent as Northern Exposure, nor does it really seem to have the same appeal in terms of depth.

I am not a big fan of sci fi but I love this show. It has everything that makes for good entertainment.
Here's a sneak peak of the first act of this Friday's season opener: http://video.scifi.com/v/?linkId=34547&sender=Faith84@aol.com&name=NicoleAnell
Looks like Xena, warrior princess will be making an appearance.

Both Stargates
Heroes was pretty good
The Unit (A bit cliche, but entertaining, and someone tell the SGM's wife to get out of everyones business)
What ever the wife wants to watch, if I want to get some.
