A man serving life in prison for molesting and killing a Crothersville girl is now part of a Department of Correction investigation.

Anthony Stockelman, convicted for the murder of Katie Collman, now has a tattoo that reads "Katie's Revenge" on his forehead.

A Department of Correction spokesperson says Stockelman did receive the tattoo while serving time at Wabash Valley Correctional Facility. While they won't comment further they do say the incident is under investigation and they have contacted the state police.

Shouldn't judge people because of their tat's.

I dont know why the contacted the state police over it. He's already been convicted of the crime and is serving his sentence.

Does the tattoo violate prison rules on giving/receiving tattoos as a prisoner? Did he break these rules? Can the family sue for the tattoo's removal due to emotional durress? Does freedom of speech say he can keep the tattoo? Does freedom of speech find itself applicable to incarcerated felons? Can the prison system remove the tattoo because it in itself by nature is contraband since it was obtained illegally (if its against prison rules)?

Interesting delimma.

Only if you take into account the ratio of tattoos to remaining teeth. (tooth to tattoo ratio)

I doubt he tattooed his own forehead. I'm pretty sure he was probably also at penis level when he received it...

grr was going to try to attach the work safe picture for those who have a phobia about clicking links but failed.

She says the e-mail also claimed a distant relative of Katie's who also is at Wabash Valley had given Stockelman the tattoo.
Tisket's right, I'd think.

People who kill and/or rape kids get what they deserve.

That was my first thought as well. If he had it applied willingly, he would have had it in reverse so he could read it in the mirror. Plus, the phrase does not exactly sound like he’s proud of the accomplishment. Looks like he got the real penal system.
