Queshu must die.

PS. Diana, your new sig is freaking me out.

Izalude

Yeah... where do I begin?

I worked my ass off all week writing a script, and picking up various pieces of costumes all over, and finally do the play... I collect everything and find out hey wait a sec... where's my warblade?

So I ask everyone... and they say that Queshu went where he wasn't supposed to be. I report and the Merchant shows up to my table. I give her the names of the people, and she asks me "Is Queshu your friend?" I say No. Then she hands me my ancient runic Ashrim warblade back. I asked her if Queshu had it, she said she couldn't say... so then Daina then says Queshu disappeared from the room she was in, confirming our suspicions.

I haven't been able to locate EVERYTHING yet... Maybe some more stuff will turn up missing. Who knows? That was the only major thing he yanked. I really REALLY want to confront him in game about it, but I don't want to get in any trouble.

Advice?

Myrianna

She said she couldn't say, she didn't say you couldn't confront him, did she?

Halfsilver
11-02-2003, 01:48 AM
I wouldn't, Iza.

It was settled in an OOC manner, and should be left alone.

I'm sure he will get in trouble for it.
He was warned. If you want to escalate it, you should go through OOC channels.

There is no IG way to confront him about it because of the way it was settled.

More typical bastard behavior for Queshu. Several of my characters have had run-ins with this prick in Icemule and he's on full ignore when I see him in a room.

Not to mention the fact that he's a pathetic spellbeggar, always begging and "befriending" any wizard that can *do* for him.

Selfish fuckstain is only mildly what I think of him.

Maybe we should create a folder called "flowery character praises" to balance out the negative energy from "character complaints."

You guys are making me rich.

P.S. The only thing that pisses me off more than waking up when I don't have to, is thieves. They're the lowest of the low.

Izalude, if you want my advice, I would just let it drop. While it does feel like he was personally attacking you, I doubt he was. He's just a selfish child, and he got caught. I doubt he even knows it's yours, unless someone has told him. I would avoid all the stupid in-game drama it's bound to cause if you confront him, by simply being glad the GM's are doing their job.

I don't mean 'reach into your pockets and take some silvers that I was stupid enough to leave in there' thieves. I mean people that deliberately deceive and steal things of actual value.

As far as I"m concerned, if I leave silvers in my pockets or gems in open containers, they're freebies.

However, ganking people's valuable items through deliberate jackassness is wrong, and not supported by game mechanics, and therefore should be punishable by castration by papercuts.

Well the folder *IS* called CHARACTER COMPLAINTS so uh..yeah, you should expect to see a lot of negative threads and very descriptive, not so nice terminology.

There's also a Gemstone Gems folder, to balance out the negativity. It just happens to be that people are more quick to talk about negative aspects of the game than positive. Someone once told me that was human nature.

Queshu hung out with Warclaidhm the last merchant event. I think that pretty much says it all.

Wasn't really thinking it was funny because it was negative, necessarily...

Queshu is a fuckstain
Ristoril is a puss.
Kryblue is a whore.

just struck me as amusing.

Yes, dearest Atheana..I said that because you'll also notice right in the same line where the thread name is...is also the FOLDER in which said threads are located. But I'm willing to bet you already knew that, Master of the Obvious.

I thought you were leaving the PC for greener pastures anyway?

**edited to add- The above comment about leaving for greener pastures. The phrase is commonly used when a person is talking about going someplace they might feel is better or more suited to their liking. I feel the need to explain this because I don't feel like being accused of referring to her as a cow or anything of the sort...which is what would probably what that pair would think...seeing as they love the victim role so much. :)

He tries to justify his actions... I let him try to come clean, to see if he took anything else. He said he didn't. If I find more stuff missing, then what should I do?

Hips
11-02-2003, 02:12 PM
Personally, I would tell whoever the merchant was that helped you out in the first place. Elvaria, I think?

Hearing about this from Jolena pissed me off to no end, by the way. I'm happy you got the weapon back. :)

Weedmage Princess
11-02-2003, 02:17 PM
Well if other things are missing...I'd do a report (followed by an assist) and mention the GM who recovered your weapon...tell them other things are missing and this Queshu person was back there, and the GM retrieved something you were missing.

As far as Queshu goes...true, you can't do/say anything to this person as far as THIS incident goes because it was "solved" with the GMs...however...the person still took your stuff so your character has a reason to hate this thief. I'd just have a few "accidents" at a very inconvenient time for Queshu.

With all due respect, I don't think you guys should rely on accidents. I mean, he could go for weeks, even months without having an accident.;)

Killing Queshu won't solve anything. It will only cause more frustration for all parties involved. Just leave him alone. I've taken this as a lesson learned. I will never put together another event like that. It's just not worth it.

I think Queshu needs a GM-supplied vacation to have time to think about roleplay, and mechanics abuse, and lessening the enjoyment of the game for others.

It seems he's well on his way to getting it, and I sincerely hope he does.

And I just as sincerely hope you dont give up on great things like this play over one moron, Izalude. Gemstone NEEDS more things like that.

He's an idiot for how it is being handled. I would have taken the items though. Stuff in a box on the ground and no one is in the room? Fair game. Now if that room was supposed to be locked so that only actors could get in that's a different story. The GM that promised the locked room and didn't deliver is as much to blame as anyone. False sense of security leads to these kinds of things.

He's an idiot for how he is handling it though and should be deeded.

Let us not forget the rules of engagement! Rule #1. If you kill the jerk that took your stuff he'll tell someone with more trainings than you. #2. The older person will come back and kill you. #3. After you've killed the little jerk he will immediately disappear and log in his capped sorcerer to implode you. Using the slick disguise of "So I heard you're picking on little people line...." while in the process of boring you because we all know he'll cast through you like nobody's business. Proving nothing more than he's making up for a less than adequate member in the size department.

This sorcerer was capped...I was like 76 trains...like I can ward that?

He started saying that I insulted Starsnuffer, Chazym and Sagan...um..ok, so I insulted Sagan for running his yap. As far as Starsnuffer and Chazym go? Chazym is Sagan's capped wizard, and I don't even know Starsnuffer, let alone think that any comment by me would even have him raising an eyebrow at my lil elven tail...
