I have mastered all of the standard required CMANs (wspec, surge, bonding, etc.) and am thinking about picking up head butt.

1. Is head butt limited, like ambush head, by racial height? As a dwarf I do not want to spend the points if I am not going to be able to head butt a majority of critters.

2. It is worth it to start wearing my spiked helm instead of my HCP one (if I do actually start training in the skill)?

3. If you get an exceptionally bad roll, are you yourself injured through the head butt maneuver?

Headbutt is height-limited.

Spiked helms do cool crits, but I think they have a penalty to the CMAN roll. You'll probably be fine anyway.

I don't think so. I think that only happens if the creature is wearing head coverage and you aren't.
