We've been meaning to make a change to half-elves for some time, and we're finally getting around to it.

In the next day or so we'll be dropping the half-elf language. Half-elves will all have access to common and elven, unless they've selected the sylvan or dark elven cultures, in which case they will have common and sylvan or dark elven.

Its gonna be really hard to role-play a half-elf who forgot how to speak half-elven... amnesia won't work because people who fall under that spell normally retain the powers of speech and reason.

Hmm... I think they should have faded it out with time.

I don't suggest that you roleplay it. If you were the only one who lost the ability, then I can see having to put it into your roleplay. However since it happened to all half-elves, I recommend pretending you never had it in the first place.
