The problem is simply this. I have always prided myself on Maimara getting what she has and where she is independently. I have never depended on anyone -- man or woman, GM or player, ever. I most certainly did not 'fuck my way to the top'. Anyone that has known me, or Maimara as a character, for any amount of time, would know this is true and how I feel about it.

I always said, the second I (as a player) was accused of such, I would graciously bow out. And so, I have.

I have never run into your charecter but I feel that you leaving (or not playing her) is a mistake. Don't let little lies get to you. From your post you seem to have thicker armor than that.

I have been pondering quitting for a while, since I started working. I have only logged in as Maimara maybe two or three times in the past month and a half or two months, and even then, I just stand there. It's not fun for me anymore.

Think of that as simply the straw that broke the camel's back. It violates my standards to play a character tainted by OOC bullshit, and I refuse to change her RP.

well in my opinion OOC shouldnt change the way you RP her .. But thats just the way i see it .. I am sorry that you are leaving.. Sometimes, a break does wonders. Being away for awhile gives one a new perspective which translates to the return of enjoyment when one returns to the game. It does not always work out that way, but it often does.

I am sorry you are not enjoying the game anymore, Maimara, but if you are not then the time has certainly come to put it behind you, at least for awhile. Just do not stop posting here with us. We would miss you something awful!

By the way, I do not give a flying flip who said "fuckstick" first! :rolleyes:

Well, like I said to you in IMs...I hope you change your mind. It's a shame that you're going to leave over someone who spreads stories without bothering to find out whether there is any truth to it or not. I guess what I find even more sad about it is the place where this story (and I do mean story) was posted. No offense to any of the regular members there but...I doubt anyone takes anything said there seriously. It's all like...a big joke or something. Fact is, most people who have read it probably dismiss it has a crock of shit anyway, considering quite a few of the people in charge there dislike you anyway...and let's face it...they're not above making up stuff about you.

At the end of the day, you have to do what makes you feel best. But...if you're going to quit playing Maimara when you really do enjoy her..over something made up by jealous people who dislike you...then..that's just letting the person who made up that story win. :thumbsdown:

I totally agree with you. I will never play gemstones again. I feel like I waste my life when I do. I just stick around here cause of a couple friends and it keeps me entertained at times.
