I'm feeling a fit of jealousy, and was going to post in the "What are you listening to ATM?" thread, but I figured I'd give it its own. Yay.

I left the transmitter to my MP3 player somewhere, and haven't been able to get it back as of yet - I'm so ready to just go spend the $40 on a new one.

Anyhow, I'm now stuck with one station while at work - and they play the same 12 songs, all day, every day.

Seriously... the next time I hear "Haven't you people ever heard of... closing the <bleep> damn door?" or a slightly off pitch "I don't wanna beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee a murthrerer" (yes, I know it is murderer, but it doesn't come out right), I'm going to hurt someone.

I miss my Zen Touch :(

If I hear (I'm sorry Tayre) "I'm bringing sexy back..." one more time today I may kill someone.

The first song you mention is one of Drew's (the openly gay one, not the closeted gay) favorites.

If you have internet access and it's allowed I suggest some internet radio stations.

WPOI 80's (new wave & some rock) out of Florida (http://www.streamaudio.com/stations/asx/wpoi_fm.asx)

Or buy Sirius.

::edited to add::

Internet Radio Station Locator (http://www.radio-locator.com/) Just put in your Genre and it'll pop up a list.

Sadly, the IT folks here at work frown on internet radio.

I am going to reclaim my transmitter this weekend if at all possible. If not possible, I'm buying a new transmitter.

I have about 2000 songs I love on the thing - its worth 40 bucks to be able to hear them.

The thing that annoys me the most about radio stations is when they play commercials either for the station or telling you how few commercials they play. They could probably scrounge up 5 minutes an hour extra music if they cut those two annoying habbits, and I wouldn't mind listening to it more often.

I only need to give you one line to represent UK radio at the moment:

"They see me rollin... They haaaatin.."

PS- IT'S MUCH BETTER TO FACE THESE KINDS OF THINGS WITH A SENSE OF POISE AND RATIONALITTYYY

PPS- Sexy Back is the best song period.

Radio in general sucks. They removed my favorite radio station about a year ago to replace it with a rap station that was tested to bring in more listeners.....

XRMradio.com is great for 90's rock.

That is why i moved to Satellite Radio. Way too many commercials on the radio.

sports talk radio for all your listening needs.

Yeah, radio sucks around here. Morning shows are annoying more than anything. Its sad when you hire 4-5 people to talk to each other... and all that comes out is annoying useless dribble. My favorite stations ALL got changed, the softer ones went plain bad or turned to another genre, and the rock station swapped to alternative rock or something... and has all kinds of stupid songs that arent even close to the rock it used to play. Not sure how they keep 'rock' in the title.

And I also hate the '12 songs a day', hearing one song more than once over a few hours is bad enough, but more then once in per hour is absurd.

CD Player is good if you don't already/seperately have an MP3 player. Personally, I wouldn't buy one for just car use, but the transmitter is a great investment if you've got one for another reason.

Have both -- still listen to streaming WMMR occasionally, which is one of my favorite stations from the Philly area.

My iPod died three days ago, I've been forced to listen to the radio. It sucks.

Stand up comedy club commercials are worse than either of these.

Female DJs are worse than the commercials.

lol @ Vontez's avatar.

And there wouldn't be a lot of marketing sales (despite my personal plight of being almost able to crash my vehicle in the painful morning hours were it not for its ability to 0-60 in more than 12 seconds) if morning radio, when we're driving to work, wasn't actually filled with assaults of advertisements and ridiculous gimmicks.

Q104 and the old school Hot 97 (before the time when Funk Master Flex decided to fuck up tracks at midnight hour and you had "DJ CLUE!" echoing throughout 206 bones) are and were my favorite choices of radio listening.
