Anyway as far as trying to make as much money in the gem singing aspect, and for being an actual viable character, a polearmer. What would the best races for this be? I know from the research I've seen that elves are the best with the polearms for a bard, I believe. My only wish was the fact that I'd like to be on Teras, where I know the best money makers are going to be Dwarves. I do love dwarves, but I don't know how they would fair as a dwarf. I know the first really wicked bard in Gemstone lore, was a dwarf. But how does it all stack up? What are the most important things to focus on skill wise with money making and gem purification? Thanks guys!

All I know is my elven polearming bard destroys things 10+ levels above him with ease. I've actually never played a bard who wasn't an elf. Hmmm...<ponders some mutants to play> A half-krol bard? Hmmmmmm.

I chose elf because thats what I had chosen back in GS3, I didn't really look into the new races at all because they didnt seem like something I would want to play. I kinda regret not lookin at them now, even tho I am have no idea if one would be better.
I think however, I saw a thread where someone mentioned Erithian Bards because they have the highest stat bonuses when you combine DIS and INF.
Elves have terrible DIS, but great INF.
Influence was the main factor I was looking for, but now I am wondering what I am going to run into with a low DIS bonus.

i'm also just trying to think of who's going to be the best in trading...and the thought of being on Teras, where I love it the most. A dwarf makes since, but I don't know the disadvantages of being a dwarf with being a bard as well? Any experience there?

Dwarf will have the advantage on Teras, but unless you actually plan on staying there forever, I wouldn't make my bard specifically for one location.
Was just looking over that chart at the top, and was thinking to myself how much it sucks that you can get a negative 25, but nothing goes over a positive 5.
As far as bardic abilities, I would assume the negative Inf, will factor into your CS, and of course trading skill. You will have a higher AS, more HP, a higher encumberance tolerance. More discipline for everything that affects.
I am just now starting my first bard, so I am afraid I cant be of much help.
