Holy Johnson County, Batman.
But happy new car :)

Oh shit that is fucking sweet. My step sis got the black convertible with the white stripe along the bottom. It eats the road.

I have not been a fan of the most recent Mustangs for some time, but that does look nice as a convertible.
Congratulations!

My first choice was a 350z convertible, but I just couldn't find/get the options I wanted in a 2006, and too impatient to wait for the 2007's :(

Heh, that's my goal for a car within the next year.. a mustang. Not a convertible, but egads that is beautiful.
I looooove mustangs. I'm normally not a car freak but for this one single exception, I am all the way.
Confirmed bitch magnet. Booya!
I have a coupe in black. Good choice.

While I was car shopping I hopped in the 350Z and the fact that you barely have a glovebox worth of room behind the front seats left me feeling cramp/claustrophobic.
Always liked mustangs, which engine did you get?

I love the color. The car isn't bad either.

That's the GT, you can tell by the fog lights, unless it's an aftermarket fog for the v6, which do exist, but I doubt it. (Edit: also you can see the GT emblem and the Bullitt wheels, all v8 exclusive... short of aftermarket)
Couple things to check (That's an '05 right? the '06 has the smaller fogs and that dumb line on the side if I recall correctly), here's a list of TSBs for it you might want to go over http://www.mustangforums.com/recalls-and-tsbs/make_FORD/year_2005/TSB.htm. Oh and don't get cheap "xenon" headlight bulbs either (if you do want to upgrade the weak stock lights, get the whole harness etc), I got them and they went out in less than a year.
Love the color, hate the name of the color (I have the same color, I've told a few people who ask that it's gunmetal blue...).

Those are 06 V6s. 06 GTs have the same fog lights as the 05s.

Ah okay, I know I didn't see those small fogs until '06, didn't know the V6s got them now too, is it the same deal with the line down the side? Or do all '06s have the line, V6 and GT?

It's the 2007 GT premium version, 4.6L V8 manual transmission. I personally love it, and liking it more each day. If I could have afforded it, I'd have gotten the cobra edition but I'm not that rich...

Chargers are ugly and only come with automatics.

Cobra's not worth it, SHM. If you want more performance, superchargers and other upgrades are alot cheaper than throwing down the cash for the Cobra.

I have been eyeing up the Whipple (http://www.whipplesuperchargers.com/product.asp?ProdID=1208) and the Kenne Bell (http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/ford/gt05-06_3v/gt05-06_3v.htm). Just gotta get a nest egg set aside.
Pro-Charger and I'm blanking on the other one... are pretty popular because they're cheap, they'll add some quick bolt on balls though.

My brother had an 88 5.0 that he sunk alot of money into, made it into a few magazine spreads and into one of the USCC competitions. He would have taken 1st in horsepower if there hadn't been a dual-engine Tiburon.

Haha that duel-engine Tiburon was so cool. Put one transmission into reverse, the other into drive and floor it! Instant super weird rip the car apart type burnout.

Hard to say "automatic" and "performance" in the same sentence with a straight face isn't it?

I'll take a stall converter and a shift kit (valve body retuning) over some nimrod grinding a pound of gears trying to speedshift any day.
Not to mention driving a stick (I have one) in daily traffic is a pain in the ass.

I still love stick. There's something about being able to yank it around like a gummy worm when irritated.
