As subject says - anyone know anything about making outlook forms/templates? I made a form, saved it as an .otf and distributed to my group to use - and it works - but if you reply to the form that is sent to you, it adds my signature no matter what (seemingly ebcause I created the form?) and it then loses the form info. Anyone mind helping out?

It's an attachment.
You always have to "forward" the email so the attachment is still there, otherwise the form does not get forwarded.
If you want the form sent on, never do a reply.

That help?

Hmm..okay...forwarding it instead of replying does send it back. But that kinda sucks because you can't really put stuff except for the info in the fields. What I imagined was being able to send the form (see attached) to get the file, but if there was a problem with the file, like they couldn't find it, or it was checked out to someone else, the person could reply back with a normal type e-mail, but with the form below. Is that possible?

I've only worked with a few forms in outlook, but ours were oft files that we manually opened (everyone had a shortcut on their desktop) and it would bring up the form you just saw. From there they entered in the data and sent it.

The actual template file needs to reside on the person's PC and be executed. You can set up the template/form to be default sent to a specific person/group if you want as well.

::edited:: now that I've re-read it, I don't believe there's a way to "reply" to the form sender and keep the data values.

Damn Wezas, that last sentence of your post was exactly what I was looking for. Oh, and for anyone who cares, you can make custom buttons on the outlook toolbar, then change them to hyperlinks and have them point towards otfs. So intead of having to hunt, I push the "request file" button and that just pops up :).

New question regarding these otf form thingies. Is it possibly to make drop down menus? Anyone know how to do that?
