Well, I finally wrapped up all of my contract work over the past month, and started knocking on doors (sending resumes, portfolio's), and not 3 days later landed a hot design gig, one of those "hard to get" cool jobs.
Anyway, the interview is scheduled for tomorrow, and I am SCARED SHITLESS, but also super excited. I've done my homework, began the relationship building process with the interviewer and one of the employees...
With that said, any tips on how to approach this? I haven't interviewed for a job in a few years, as I have been moving from one contract project to the next.....

1)Be sure to wear good extra dry deordorant.
2)Don't tell them you play WoW or GS.
3)Wear something that shows your cleavage.
edit. Best of luck mang.. hope you get hooked up.

Attractive people tend to do worse in interviews then ugly people. I do not know what type of work you do but if the job is not about your hot body then I would suggest trying to ugly yourself up.

Unless you're trying to get go ahead to star as a guy in flick with three or more chicks, I wouldn't say this interview is hot, per se :(
Also, try not to get scammed.
Also also, tell Robeen to post on the boards. Now.
Subtle aftershave. No cologne... And don't forget to wash where the sun don't shine.
.
Good luck.

Good luck to you! It sounds like a great opportunity! As for the interview, just be yourself. You said you'd done your homework, so I'm sure you've educated yourself about the company, its mission and values. Probably wouldn't hurt to take along some samples of your work that might directly tie into the kind of thing a company like this would have interest in.
Let us know how it goes. :)

Well, it went awesome.. so much of what they were looking for totally clicked, although I did tell a bad joke at the end =D (never hurts to make fun of yourself).
I'm going to make some mini posters and send them in as a "thank-you", all hand crafted. I totally want this gig, and I can't imagine doing anything cooler than working with musicians and other artists to create graphics for them! (as a career)

Great! I'm really glad you feel it went well for you. The idea of the mini-posters as a "thank-you" gift, is awesome. Kinda puts the icing on the cake.
Good luck to you! :)

Way to go. Don’t forget to show us what you do for them, thank you cards or otherwise.

I read this somewhere. I don't think you should go in with bad clothes and messed up hair or anything, but maybe wear your glasses instead of contacts...you know, shit like that.
Anyways, good luck.

So I landed the job after some initial stress about the whole gig.
Woo hoo!
3 weeks later, and it's pretty intense, but well worth it.
Well done G!
Honestly, nice work landing that shit. Today seems to be ''all win job dai''
Hope you nail the pressure, man. Bet you're loving it!!
