Yeah it's pretty sad sometimes. Do PvE servers still count as carebears, or is that just AD?
I hate the amount of time wasting that goes on when someone's leading a raid and doesn't know wtf they're doing.
"Come to this room guys." "Attack the one the warrior does." "Raid symbols, what are those!?!?!?" "Ready check!? NO WAI!!!!"
Can you say “too much time for the effort?”
WoW sucks minimum wage.

WTF. You 10 manned it and only got 2 bosses in 2 hours? Wow, that's pretty bad. You should be able to clear the place in 2 hours with 10 people.

Yeah it was seriously the worst instance run I've ever been on. Leader changed like 3 times, lots of people went AFK (and of course we couldn't keep clearing), some level 54 druid pulled half the instance by being a noob TWICE. It was sad.

I've seen UBRS cleared with 3 men in about that time. Noob.

You got it all wrong. You're supposed to go aggro everything in the room, train it back on your group, vanish and then hearth out.

There's like 50 good rogue drops in LBRS. I kept hoping it'd get better.
Made up for it with an awesome Scholo group later, though.

What kind of noob brings a level 54 pug to LBRS in the first place? :P

h8 the Baron run that last night took 2.5 hours - mainly because we kept wiping on the Baron.
Also h8 that I did "greed" on a rare leather belt w/ 15% fire resist, because I wasn't sure if our druid might have wanted it too and I didn't want it to count towards my blues.
Druid passed, Warlock rolled greed on it and beat me. Said "Yes, this will be awesome in MC". To which a few of us clued him in that it was leather.
My rolling all night sucked ass, I got exactly 2 greens (crappy +30 attack power bracers & a leatherwork recipe I already knew) while everyone else had multiple blues.
And of course to top the night off, we never actually killed the baron, our warlock couldn't keep the skeletons off of the priest.

PUG's FTL :(
PUGS for the fucking lose is right.
I did an UBRS run yesterday for more fire resist gear for MC. Draconian Deflector drops and lo and behold I'm not given the chance to roll on the shield because the claim is made, "this is a Warrior tanking shield, and not good for Shaman because it has no INT." What. The. Fuck.
It is way better than the shield I currently equip PLUS it has fire resist gear PLUS it was my only reason for staying to finish off Drak. Motherfuckers.
I feel your pain Wezas.

That is why I always declared what gear I was GOING to roll for before the raid started. At least on noob pug runs.

At least on noob pug runs.Yep, I did, which is what really irked me about the entire situation as the outcome was intentional. He changed to master looter and then gave it to the warrior who was a fellow guildie. If not for master looter I would have need rolled anyway on that bitch.

I'm pleasantly surprised by how civil folks are on the RP-PvP Server Emerald Dream. (Started playing a little again)
Looks like Blizzard finally got around to blending the RP rules and the PvP element together.
So far, I'm impressed.
One of the biggest reasons I didn't want to join a PvP server (ie Dunemaul), is that the few times I tried it some... there did not seem to be much consideration for other Questers and the names were absolutely horrible.

HolyshitTaernath! Hi!
Hi. I still stop by from time to time... maybe more when/if I reactivate my account. Right now I'm on a WoW fix, gotta get that 60!
I hate this quest I just fininished, I don't remember the name of it, but it's after you get 10 un'goro soil samples for the elves in Darnassus. They give you a bundle of seeds, a packet, and you need to get more un'goro soil and mix it all together in the packet to get 'mossgrain' or something. Not a problem really, because you can get the soil off the AH if you don't feel like travelling. The packet, however, has a 10 minute cooldown timer, and you're not guaranteed to get mossgrain when you mix the stuff, sometimes you get useless low-level herbs like earthroot or something. I wound up using all the initial seeds, then having to buy more from the quest-giver to get the last few mossgrain I needed. Make a long story short I finally turn in the quest, and the dude gives me FOOD and WATER as a reward. I'm a freaking maxed first aid warrior. I wish I could click the 'at war' button with Darnassus and slaughter them all.

I couldn't stand that quest. And yes the reward pissed me off too. A bag with food? WTF. The bullshit I had to go through with all that soil because you would get a grain maybe once every five mixes. How annoying. And you can repeat it! Fun! :(
Some Rogue
09-07-2006, 03:07 PM
You know, you have a lot better success with that if you are an herbalist. I got the food too but I got quite a few different potions when I did it also. It was worth doing a couple times I guess since I was there in Un'goro anyway.

CrystalTears
09-07-2006, 03:43 PM
As much as I hated grinding on those skystormers to get the stupid feathers for that quest, I walked away with a shitload of leather and a nice amount of expensive trash to vendor. I hate grinding.
Artha
09-07-2006, 04:07 PM
I grinded them mid-40s to low-50s. They're awesome experience and super easy to kill.
Some Rogue
09-07-2006, 04:27 PM
That quest chain was worth a ton of xp. It got me out of there alot faster than running around mindlessly killing them for 10 levels.
Artha
09-07-2006, 05:00 PM
No, grinding is always more efficient than questing if you're doing it right. Except perhaps for the last couple levels and first few.
Some Rogue
09-07-2006, 05:09 PM
So landing in Camp Mojache, grabbing all the quests there, then going out to grind is hard? It's free experience for basically doing what you'd be doing anyway. At the end of the day or when your bags are full, you turn in the stuff/sell your vendor trash and turn in the quests for a free 5k+ xp.
Artha
09-07-2006, 05:12 PM
Grinding with quests if they're on the way is more efficient, but that's sort of a best-of-both midground.
And you can't land in Mojache if you're alliance ;)

I've always grinded while completing quests at the same time. You get a shitload "free" experience and some of the rewards are well worth it.

I found a list of stuff the Warden checks for not too long ago looking for info on Glide. Can't remember the site but you might be able to find it and see what you can and can't do.
