Sorcerery is IMHO my favorite of the pure professions. But to use some of our higher level spells, the costs of the components add up. Short of being a merchant, a scavenger and underhunting for a couple of days, generating income from our skill sets poses a challenge.

714 and 420 don't quite cut it. Most of the imbedding that folks want come from the wizards because of the vast assortment of spells that improve ones defense and attack. I could be wrong, but the demand for folks to infuse mana in scrolls does not seem to be there especially since you can get most of the spells cast on you for free or imbedded in an item. (This may not be the case. I may just be removed from the market since I currently live on Teras)

I am just curious what others are doing to generate income for this profession. I have had to turn to my other characters and have them generate the income to fuel my sorcerery addiction.

Sorcerers have no reliable way to generate income using their skills. Occasionally you'll find someone willing to pay to have a good scroll infused, but not often. And even then they only offer to pay for materials.

Nilven is thinking of putting Ensorcellment in the 735 slot, which I think is badly needed. Alchemy may also provide some sort of income generating skill, but I doubt it.

Ensorcellment. Isn't that the ability for us to "enchant armor"? End result will be a TD increase? If that is so, I hope it comes out soon. But I know there have been rumors about this spell for 6 to 7 years? I guess that is about right for Simu to release a spell. Don't get me wrong Nilven, if you read these boards. I am extremely impressed with the changes I have seen since I have come back to GS4.

Ensorcellment won't be out any time soon.

Just cash hunt. Use your ability to hunt mindlessly, ignoring your encumberance and enjoying that 3 second rt and make silvers like all the rest of us do.

True. I am currently hunting my ranger who skins well to make the silvers.

WTF? Why make our enchant spell cost 10 more mana? Remove Nightmare(who uses this except for fun? its a POS in my opinion), put minor summoning there, then give us ensorcell in 725, and make a real useful spell for 735. Or let it sit for a while even.

I dunno. We still don't know exactly what Ensorcellment will do. The old ancient idea from years back was to just add TD to armor. While I imagine the spell will still keep that idea intact, I wouldn't be surprised if Nilven added some more things in there. Possibly a phase lightening effect, possibly a backlash effect... lots of options there. And Nilven tends to design some very creative spells.

But yeah, I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. Probably around 2008 or 2009.
