Reality Shows

With the reality show trend — if not in full bloom close to it — I have found myself addicted to a few shows. What I’m wondering is... if you are addicted to one or more shows, which are they and why?

Right now I have to watch Hell’s Kitchen. Maybe because its on Monday nights, I dunno. Or maybe its because of that foul-mouthed bastard Gordon Ramsey. That dude just lets it rip. Its hilarious. Just about half of everything he says is bleeped.

As a creative, my own personal chef, and I have to admit a fan of cooking shows (Iron Chef is good to kill an hour with), I suppose I have some inclination to watch the whole thing play out.



I did watch one season of Big Brother which was pretty crazy. I forget which season it was but I’m not interested anymore.



If you consider American Chopper, American Hot Rod, Monster Garage, Monster House, Biker Build-Off, Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs and Myth Busters reality shows... well, I’m a more of a fan of Myth Busters these days than any of those other shows. Its a good cast and they really get into the science of things, and, they like to blow shit up.



I must also admit to having watched more than a few episodes of Trading Spaces. Again, its the creative in me, and looking for ways to make my home more pleasant because I don’t do interiors well.



I’m watching Supernova Rock Star tonight for the first time. What a jack-off fest for the music industry.

Reality shows suck.

I do watch Myth Busters, but do not consider that a reality show.

I have watched a few shows of American Chopper (mostly for the bikes), its cool but after about the 3rd show, its the same plot with a different bike.

Final Fu is the worst show ever. Seriously. I haven't seen any others recently.

Big Brother is probably the only one I like and watch.

I really like the Dog Whisperer. It's on one of the animal channels, or maybe Discovery...with a guy who teaches dog owners how to be the "pack leader" so their dogs stop being aggressive.

On a regular basis, I like Big Brother, Rockstar (liked Inxs better than the current one), and Hell's Kitchen.

My wife watches Project Runway, which I admit has some pretty funny moments. Last night they had to make a dress for a model and a complimenting outfit for a small dog they'd be carrying down the runway.

I'm a Real World fan too, I can't remember a season where I didn't watch.

Top Chef I enjoyed too, but Chef Ramsey w/ his anger management issues is much more entertaining on Hells Kitchen.

Same thing.. great show but now what I'd call part of the "reality" trend.

I've been known to watch some Iron Chef and prolly watched two episodes of Hell's kitchen just because all the cooks/canidates are complete fucking idiots.

I used to watch UFC, but I didn't have much time to watch last season's episodes.
Fear Factor is usually watched just to see what kind of retarded shit they'll have to do or eat. Should be called freak factor.

I stopped watching reality TV shortly after they fried up and ate the rats on the first season of Survivor.

I guess that the sports and news channels are as close to being any sort of "reality" television that I'll actually take the time to sit down and watch :-\

I am currently watching Big Brother All-Stars. <3 Big Brother.

I also am keeping up with the current season of Project Runway. I love seeing the stuff they come up with.

I like watching Survivor and Top Chef and Amazing Race when they're on too.

I think the Real World/Road Rules challenge shows are pretty cool. Seeing half the crap they come up with to make them do is fun.

I watched about 2 minutes of Final Fu. that is possibly one of the worst shows ever conceived..next to maybe Master of Champions which looks like it might have been mercifully cancelled already. Oksana Baiul <sp?> is on the fast track to be the next Anna Nicole Smith.

Amazing Race is definately my favorite though.

Another unheralded show is Anthony Bordain: No Reservations. It's only reality though in the sense that Dirty Jobs is. He travels all over the world, meets the locals, and eats local food. It's worth checking out.

Hells Kitchen is great, though you have to wonder how the hell those people got on there. The guy who was literally dripping sweat into the food he was preparing made me just gag and vow to never eat out again.

Love the Chef guy is has the funniest crap he yells at them and ya he gets bleeped alot.

Yeah, this is the first season they did it. They're calling it "Big Brother All-Stars". America got to vote out of like 20 people to send 16 back into the house for a second chance.

It's pretty cool cause BB6 has a 4 person strong alliance and then there's Chill Town (Will & Boogie) from BB2. Then there's a bunch of floaters.

The new kicker this year is that there's no more Peanut Butter & Jelly for the bad food. This year it's Big Brother Slop. This can be described as a combination of vomit and oatmeal. So nasty!

Anyway, it's been fun to watch.

I love Janelle and Howie. And for some odd reason I am beginning to like Will. He's playing them all against each other very well. However, I hate Chill Town. hmmm its getting more and more interesting.

Was just watching America’s got Talent. I’m not sure which is more embarrassing... the fact that there is a show called America’s got Talent showcasing people who do bizarre things like catch eggs in their mouths at 50 feet, or that I’m actually entertained by it.

Anyway, Blue Man group just did a kick-ass rendition of Baba O’Riley.

The fact that they threw the competition (that they were supposed to win at all costs for someone else) to take offers of gifts, etc. is great. And the fact that they tried to blame a different guy for taking all the gifts is just plain awesome.

I totally agree. Will & Boogie are awesome. I can totally see one of them winning it (Hell Will's already won once!). That would rock to have Chilltown in the final 2.

I think it's great how they use their tactics to manipulate those girls and they fall for it! And blaming Marcellas for taking some of the prizes!?!? Priceless!

They have a deal with everyone in the house!
