I have two cats. Abby and Augie (yes, I have a cat with the same name as my GS character).
Augie's the orange one and Abby's the Calico. The two of them are hysterical together. I am definitely convinced cats are here mainly for our entertainment.

Hee! Thanks for reminding me, Ben! Gunnar is the one I remembered seeing in the picture and thinking he looked so mischievous. Terror, if I remember right, is beautifully marked. Trouble is just...well, pretty (but don't tell him I said so...).

:lolwave: Yeah, those pics are a little older when her ears were too big for her body. She was the runt of the litter when I got her at 6 weeks old and I had to fatten her up to let her even stand up to Augie.
She's a lot more proportionate now. But she's still a little runt with a plastic bag fetish heehee. She loves chewin on them things.

I hate to burst your bubble, Augie, but you're here for the cats' entertainment. I know. I got that directly from my cats. ;)
Olanan, pugs are adorable. We have one living next door. Barks at everything and everybody but, if you step toward him, he runs like the wind. Just too cute!

Hee! I have a cat that herds plastic bags, Augie. She loves them! She'll pile them all up and lay on them for hours. May the gods help any other cat who comes near 'em!

get a smaller sized one like a ball python. most pythons would have to worry about your cat eating them not vice versa. although an adult burmese python would definately be able to eat a cat. i doubt they would come in contact with each other.

I think I've shared his pic before, but this is my mutt, Asher, aka Ash, Buddy, Bubba, or Asshat, depending on my mood or his behavior...
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v151/iseabeal/Asher.jpg
And a pic of him with his best friend, which I call his 'bubby'.. a lambswool squeaky lamb. Yes, he'll fetch his 'bubby' if I tell him to. He found the thing after we moved (it'd been put away for about 6 years) and commenced to walking around the house with it in his mouth, crooning to it, and basically not letting it out of his sight, for weeks on end. Now it's just an occasional snugglefest, and the crooning has thankfully ended.

I have an orange and white American longhair.. he's quite fluffy, and he has gorgeous jade green eyes. I think his cutest features though are his Marilyn Monroe mark (when I first noticed it I had wished he was a girl so I could name him Marilyn, heh!) on his snout, and he has very tall and twitchy ears.
I named him Sparticus because he's got that rambo-type attitude. It's quite a fitting name for him, heh!

Black calico named Sinchilla. Nicknames: Sinchi, Sinch-belly, Whacko Nut Cat, Demon Spawn, The Sinchmeister. 5 years old, female. Favorite food: Sausage pizza, though she likes chewing on plastic bags (especially the red ones that the newspaper comes in) and cardboard boxes. Favorite treat: The catnip I grow in my garden for her every spring/summer.

I've got a Cur, a 1/2 chiuaua/pomeranian, 3 stupid cats, a snapping turtle, and shit load of fiddler crabs.
http://i20.photobucket.com/albums/b236/Japgross/mydogs.jpg
Got two pups.
Callahan, Jack Russell Terrier, about 5 years old. He's a complete jerk but he's my best friend. Also my most successful training exercise. He knows sit, heel (which is big for a terrier), place, down, "Callahan, get up!" and "Callahan, help me!" at which point he'll attack the male nearest me.
http://www.geocities.com/dexcsl/callahan.jpg
And Sparta, a Bernese Mountain Dog/Border Collie mix. This picture is a couple of months old. She's now around fifty pounds. She could eat Callahan in one bite but she's too easy going to do so, even if he is a total asshole.

Back when I worked at Petsmart, at one time we had:
37 gallon fishtank
5 gallon fishtank
one-legged finch
finch with feathers missing from back of head
one-eyed frog
horned mountain dragon
two dogs
rabbit
tortoise
Yeah, I'd always take home the animal rejects at work, I'd feel so bad for them!
Since then, the fishtanks have been dismantled, rabbit was given to a friend, birds were donated to an open aviary, and Frankie <sneef> died.
So now we have two dogs, and the tortiose. I like exotics and Scott has allergies so no cats. :(. I'm trying to push for some sugar gliders or I'm going to reset up the 37 gallon tank. I think I've already posted pictures of my dogs, but they're at my myspace if you really want to see them.

Lol the buckskin on the left was my Pit that was killed a couple years ago and I have no idea where the green thing came from when scanning the photo. The one the right is my Cur Mick.
Cur's are bred with several different breeds usually a mastiff and a hound and usually hunting dogs. Mick is a variant that my brother in Gainsville breeds specifically for hunting hog.. red nose pit and hound dog. Great dog and is very loyal and intelligent but extremely protective especially around my girls.
I dug up some pics of the lil rat.

Whew! I was trying to figure out what the hell that snake was doing crawling around on the dog's nose! Precarious position for such a small snake, with all those dog teeth flashing. Sorry to hear such a lovely dog was lost. :(
I figured the lighter colored dog was part Pit Bull, at least, but I've never heard of a Cur. Thanks for the info!

Lol when he was 4 or 5 years younger I had his ear pierced.. he was quite the pimp. His name is Doc and weighs 4lbs.. and will latch on to Mick's throat and shake for the kill like no tomorrow.
The little bastard loves to run up to anyones feet hanging off a chair or couch and give it a "lap dance" and rubs the top back of his ass on feet for free scratches.

I've got three cats.
Crystal- siamese who I just found out is suffering from pretty bad kidney disease. But then again she's 16 years old.
Mica- Grey bobtail with longish hair. He's the man in the house and will spend hours wrestling with my puppy.
Scrawny- Another siamese. Probably one of the most stunning cats I've ever seen. She's Mica's mom and I adopted them both when he was just a little bity kitten I could hold in one hand. Hence the name. :)
Julian- The newest addition to my herd. He's a miniature weiner dog and I posted a pic of him somewhere.
Praefection
07-26-2006, 11:35 PM
PS: Julian's also called a dapple because of his coloring. He's black with silver/grey spots and brown on the paws, butt and nose. I don't know how many people mistake him for a blue heeler because of his markings.

I'm doing what I can for her. My main concern is her still not eating. She dropped from a little over eleven pounds down to seven by the time I got her to the vet. Before I leave for vacation at the start of August I'll need to decide if her treatments are even working, and if so I'll board her at the vet's for the duration of my trip. If not... she might need to be put down because I refuse to let her suffer longer than necessary.

I love it when they do that tongue thing. Callahan never does, but Sparta... she'll let her tongue loll out the side of her mouth then close her jaws over it, so it's just dangling there like some sort of pink mouth-booger. She doesn't even care if I poke at it while it's hanging there.

I really need new pics of my dog. He no longer wears either collar unless he's going for a visit to the vet, or a walk where we need to put him on a leash.
He's a mutt, terrier/pompek mix. His name is uh.. BJ. It stands for Bad-John (bah-jon) means troublemaker. No I didn't name him, that was his name when we got him. But he's my baby :D. He hates anyone outside of the family that lives in the house and my cousins that have owned him before. So when we have company we usually have to put him in my room or something. He's a lil bastard that drives me crazy but I  him sooo.

07-27-2006, 09:37 AM
heh, well she's a big girl. So when she first gets there she'll run around with them for about 2 minutes. Then she'll find a nice cool wall to lay against and stay there until either:
a) A dog comes up to sniff her
b) A new dog comes in the room
c) A new person comes in the room
d) The pee mopper (one of the two humans in the room) starts handing out treats
She's normally pretty good about sharing/interacting. It's just pools and large water bowls that she gets greedy about.

I found my two girls at a humane society in my area. They were sleeping together, forming a yin yang symbol. They were sooo adorable!
They were named by the society after the Gilmore Girls: Rory and Loraeli (sp.). I liked Lorali (changed the spelling) and changed Rory to Cassie (rhymes with sassy). Rory didn't fit right, to me, for a female.
They're litter mates, blue tabbies, and a hand/lap-full.
