Just got hooked up back into the grid - got a new Motorola RAZR V3C or some other crazy name.
Having never owned a cell phone before - it's making my head hurt with all the options.

that the one where you can either store music or stream movies? (can't remember which). My wife has a plain V3, and saw the commercial and started whining that hers didn't do those things.
Then I pointed to my ghetto Nokia POS cheapest replacement phone ever and she STFU.
Having never owned a cell phone before...

Thats just a scary thought.

Damn, I remember having a bag phone in my car.
I feel old now.
Take it with you next time you need to go for a dump, you'll figure it all out then. Fuck the handbook.
My girl has the pink one and a pink bluetooth (thinking she's all cool and shit) to go with. Nifty phones.

They're actually some of the worst new phones on the market, but I don't want to burst any bubbles.
They look nice, though!
I think that's why my girl got the bluetooth connector along with hers. Voice output sucks ass.
I should have said, "nifty features". Picture graphics along with the screen savers are sweet, undeniably, but the phones are just a tad shitty when it comes to sound reception, which was a major source of irritation when she first got it and she sounded like a f'ing robot when she'd call me. Not sure what else is fubar on the phone though.

My wife's is all fucked up now. It shuts off occasionally for no reason and is difficult to turn back on. We took it into a t-mobile store and the guy said "oh, sometimes you just need to take the battery out and back in". ya, ok. Still happening.
After vacation we'll be sending it in for a replacement.

yeah, streaming video, all that. Got the bluetooth connection thingy too.
Didn't get the pink one though. My heart is broken, they were all out.
Now, to figure out how to set my Bluetooth to the flippin' phone.

Yep, that's one of the features of the razr.
They have lifespans roughly equivalent to that of healthy carnival goldfish.
I just got one of those too, just... three days ago, actually, because I need a phone with international capabilities.
So far, the menus are kind of irritating and yeah, the sound level is waaaaay low even at the highest setting. I use my earpiece with it constantly. But I'd never use Bluetooth. That's a security risk and fairly easily hacked.
On the good side, I now get full coverage all over town, while Verizon left me with only one bar or nothing in lots of areas, consistantly having poor call quality with droppage. Like my own bedroom.
As a plus, I'm now addicted to Bejeweled, which came with the damn phone.

Woo! Love Bejeweled, but I had to buy the full version (Cingular). Well worth it, imo.
I have a Bluetooth, but it's a piece of crap. People always complain that they can barely hear me when I'm using it.

I have one of those orange Motorola PEBL's. LOVE IT. It doesn't play mp3's or anything but it takes photos and video, which is great for me, I always see the CRAZIEST shit out driving and always wished I had a camera for it. Now I do. It also opens really spiffy too. Nothing too bad about it yet, but since this is my first cellphone with a viewing screen, it pisses me off when I get body oils on it as I'm CONSTANTLY cleaning it.
I thought about the Razr, but the ability to buy up to 2gig smartcards for the expansion slot won over, so I'm enjoying my Treo 650.
I now have all my workout music, plus a nice big selection of chill music at my fingertips without having to have an Ipod hanging around.
The thing that pisses me off the most about the razr is the lag when you push the contacts button as compared to almost every other phone on the market.

Well....
I just came from a place with no cell phones. The Razr strikes me as nothing short of miraculous. And so far, it's working great.
