Berserk is an intense rage, why would it be able to work in a calmed state?

I would think you should be able to "break" the calm with it.

Initiating berserk involves intense rage -- it's impossible to feel that rage if you're calm. I could understand the calm spell not working on a person who's already berserking, maybe.
