--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
AMAZING UNIQUE STUFF:
1. 7x short sword. Self mana haste. Old style. Single mana. No failure.

a slender Krolvin pit slasher - A favorite in the Krolvin slave fighting pits, this slender weapon was designed for cramped hand-to-hand fighting. The leather-wrapped haon handle holds a two foot long blade on either side. Each blade is slightly serrated just past the handle to aid ripping flesh, while the front halves of the blades are smooth and come to a sharp, pointed end for slashing and thrusting. You also notice a small enchanter's glyph.

>raise slash
You raise your Krolvin pit slasher in triumph!
Mystical energies race across the surface of the slasher.
You begin to notice the world slow down around you. Strange.
You feel a draining sensation from the Krolvin pit slasher.
(Forcing stance down to guarded)
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
Roundtime changed to 1 second.

Loresong:
As you sing, your vision starts to cloud as you sing to the Krolvin pit slasher in your hands. Slowly, your eyes seem to refocus, but you are no long where you were but a moment before. Standing before you, an ancient wizard with a long white beard, argues pointedly with a well-muscled blacksmith apparently over how to forge something.

As you continue to sing, your vision clouds once more, you see the blacksmith sweating profusely as he works tirelessly upon the lump of metal before him. Slowly the metal starts to take shape in the heart of the forge due to the skill of the master blacksmith.

As you continue to sing, you see the ancient wizard standing beside the blacksmith as he works upon the slowly forming metal. Whispering words of power, which can barely be heard, but are quickly forgotten, the magician lends his skills to the forging.

Your song continues to bring forth images from the past. The blacksmiths hammer rings loudly as it strikes the slasher, while the wizard sends forth a stream of shimmering silver light into the slasher. Finally, they are done, as the blacksmith raises the Krolvin pit slasher above his head, mystical energies playing across its surface.

I would rather find the old shell armor over anything else you have there.

The one where you pop inside it... I think that'd be the best thing in the world.

Hehe I paid 10m for those scripts from Dirla.. The third level tier was only auctioned and raffled.. I got BOTH. So as far as I know nobody else has them.

um..I can turn over my runestaff and rub it as well. I can turn over and rub almost any item in my inventory, actually. With the exact same response with the exception of a noun change. Its not a special action.

07-19-2006, 02:13 AM
For all the smack that Tsin gets, his stuff on this particular auction is going sold rather quickly.

As for my tastes, I like the Seymoor the mana pouch and the 9x crit padded brig (all but the description).

Although unless my brain is going it's Seymour. That item has been (voluntarily) nerfed at least 4 times now and is still pretty darn cool.

Although it was at it's height of coolness when the amulet spell counted for 18 mana.

Generally, what should be a good price for the Mana pouch? And does it really give you back essentially full mana every time you pop in a magic item? (If it does, it's one game breaking item...) but I wants it!

Olanan
07-19-2006, 11:22 PM
No, it gives you the equivalent amount of mana to the item inserted if I understand it correctly.

IE, a white crystal casts strength, pop one in and you get 9 mana.

Blue crystals would likely be the most effective item to use now that crystal amulets isn't a spirit spell anymore.

bubbauno
07-20-2006, 12:12 AM
No that's not even close.. Two blue wands and one metal wand gave back 381 mana when I used it last night.. It's based on your training.

In the leather pouch you see a crystal wand, a metal wand and a twisted wand.

You tug the chains on the leather pouch until it shuts.

The leather pouch begins to rumble and growl ferociously as it hops and squirms about! Something seems to be thrashing around inside!

It suddenly becomes still again....A bit of dingy steam escapes from the pouch's opening.

You rub the leather pouch. A painful shock runs up your arm, but after the pain ebbs, you realize your magical reserves have increased!

Lucas
07-20-2006, 09:49 AM
Don't but it for 300m, at capped a pure rarely runs out of mana before getting fried. (you can wrack to boot too) Really, I only see this for mass imbedding factory style wizards or possibly for enchanting. My estimation in terms of it's usefulness and not counting in it's novelty value, around 50 mil.

I agree that to get anywhere a decent amount of mana back would require skills from a pure where you'd need to be higher level, which of course is when you don't need any mana.

I'm curious though, why would you ever need it for enchanting?

Drew
07-20-2006, 02:17 PM
Since when is Seymour based off your training anyway? Used to be based off the number of charges and mana in the magic items you put in him. A young wizard should be able to get 100s of mana from it.

No that's not even close.. Two blue wands and one metal wand gave back 381 mana when I used it last night.. It's based on your training.

Metal wand is what, 909? And wands have how many charges, 10? So thats 90 mana right there. And blue wands are like spell 926, so if there are ten charges in there, you shoulda gotten 260+260+90 = 610 mana out of those three.

Drew2
07-20-2006, 02:51 PM
rofl. First of all, there is no spell 926.

Secondly, blue wands cast the exact same spell as metal wands.

Stunseed
07-20-2006, 02:52 PM
Wrong answer.

The AvD and DF between the wands is much different. Metal wands cast Major Cold, and I like to think the slender blue wands case a giant snowball version of Hurl Boulder.

Drew2
07-20-2006, 02:54 PM
They still both cast a big cold ball. And both are equally useless in Icemule area.

rofl. First of all, there is no spell 926.

Yes, there is. If I remember correctly, it's Major Acid (crystal wands). You can't learn it normally, but when you fail at using a crystal wand and identify the spell, it says something like, "You are unable to gain control of the wand, but you learn it will cast Major Acid (926)."

EDIT: Just confirmed it here: http://www.krakiipedia.org/wiki/Major_Acid_%28926%29

I think it's been nerfed multiple times since it worked that way. Looks like an ok item if you can keep a steady income of certain wands around. Any other magics items you use to charge it (barring obvious exceptions like a 40 charge ruby amulet) are going to return a pittance of mana.
