I'll update daily, maybe a couple times if I get lots of bids. Plan on ending this sale by next Friday, July 21st.

1) a gruesome imflass war mattock
+12 enchanted
Very Heavy Crit Weighting
8 lbs
Current Bid: 5m, Devlun

2) Sold
3) Sold

4) a Khanshael chain hauberk

+12 enchanted
Somewhat Damage Padded
Loresong
Your voice resonates slightly against the hauberk, causing vibrations in tune with your song. As your song synchronizes with the hauberk, the metal begins to glow brightly. A faint image of a hot forge, a dark dwarven smith working over it, comes into focus.

As you continue to focus your song on the hauberk, the images begin to come clearer with each note sung. The Khanshael smith bends over his heavy workbench, quickly and quietly assembling the forged links of chain into a shirt of armor, squinting in the light of the forge as he labors through the night. Finally the rising sun shines through an open window behind the forge, iluminating the dwarf as he holds up the finished shirt to the light.

As you continue your melody, a dark elven priest enter the forge. He smiles slightly as the smith bows and hands him the newly completed shirt. The priest begins to chant in a low voice, and a glowing aura surrounds the shirt with an intense white light. Finally, the light subsides and the priest stops chanting, drained from the experience.

As the song leaves your lips, the hauberk shimmers another vision of the same smith as he takes the shirt from the priest's hand and dips it carefully into a vat of molten imflass. Stirring the vat slowly with a large ladle, he carefully covers each link, wasting none of the precious metal. Finally, he lifts the shirt from the vat and, with great care and skill, hangs it on a hook to cool and dry. Content with his work, the smith bows his head slowly as the image fades.
28 lbs

5) a spiked blood red imflass hauberk
+27 enchanted
spikes when using appropriate combat manuevers (tackle, bullrush, etc)

I am guessing the 300K on the claid was not enough. Have an idea on what you are looking for on it?

2x claidhmores usually go for 10m or more, so in that range.

Disclaimer: ... I know jack crap about claids ...

I am confused. It adds nothing to AS, so to me that means it is not 2X (+10), therefor it to me is not a 2X Claidhmore. In your own post it states it adds to AvD, which is different. I do understand that it's kind of the same, but is it really the same?

Also, is this the same change that they made to naginata's?

Sorry, just trying to understand.

Old style claidhs were -10 to AS, but have a 10 higher AvD than newstyle claidhs.

So a 2x old style claidh has +10 more than a 0x old style claidh.

Bump, made a mistake on the heater and put the wrong persons name there. 8M Bid was to ThiefinShadow

About the claids, its not that simple. There are so many advantaged to Old Style claids that it's not even funny. Here's why that blade is worth 10mil+

Old Claids aren't their own weapon base, they are greatsword (two handed sword) based. Not only does that mean that you can use the WSPEC type for both your claid and your alterate sword (say a blessable), but the weapon has a different base Damage Factor for initial damage and then you get that spicy claid weighting on top of it (80 points).

You are talking a weapon that is vastly superior to these lame new style claids.

Ahh! Thanks Khariz, that makes a ton more sense. I thank you for your well thought out input.

Now to come up with that kind of coin (seeing as I just blew my last 25M on a really cool item for my wizard), so my bard can move from his invar claid to something more worth carrying.

<<Not only does that mean that you can use the WSPEC type for both your claid and your alterate sword (say a blessable),>>

People who use wspec don't know shit about maneuvers.

<<but the weapon has a different base Damage Factor for initial damage>>

Sometimes.

<<and then you get that spicy claid weighting on top of it (80 points).>>

Which you also get with newstyle claidhmores.

Right, but you get weighting on a weapon with significantly crappier DF and AvDs. Its a big difference. I've done about 6 months worth of damage and crit parsing on both weapon types, and I'd say old-style are about 17% better pound per pound (being figurative).

Humongous difference? no. But I think it's worth the cost.

Thought the only difference on DF was on plate. .225 compared to .275.

Yes?
