I don't know which castle you're talking about..
Darkstone - roa'ters
Varunar - skeletal lords
Works for me.

that'd be darkstone... yea there are maybe a small group of critters but they are exiled from the rest...on the flats you got 4 or 5 different critters that spawn giving you more excitment and having to change your strat each time another is added that has different manuevers....

Try Pinefar, Bonespear, Shan, Illi GLacier, The Bog in Vaalor, and the undead in Illi.

River's Rest has a ton of shit between 30 and 40-ish...
And I'd have to say there is a ton of stuff to chose from between 30 and 50, in nearly all the towns. *shrug*

I really enjoyed hunting on the Sleeping Lady Mountains in Icemule and Olbin's Pass during 30-50. Pinefar until early 50's, and then Darkstone until 57 or so. Then Skull Temple in EN until Rift.

I dont' know about the others, but nothing I listed is undead. The Sleeping Lady Moutains are in Icemule, as is Olbin's Pass and Pinefar. The areas have pretty decent loot, especially if you have access to a locksmith on a regular basis as they love to drop boxes. The blue gems from glacei on Pinefar are nice too if you have a pet empath, or just carry herbs with you to heal yourself down.

On Tsoran's Maps, the following have 30-50'ish hunting areas...
In the Elven Nations: Gyldemar, Sapphire Gate (Teorainn Dale and Maernstrike Caverns), Sylvarraend, and Zul-Logoth.
In Icemule Trace: West & East gates, Pinefar, South Gate (undead), and Trail.
In River's Rest: Citadel (undead), Maelstrom, Rivers Rest (Jungle)
In Teras: All the Teras maps have something between 30 + 50..
In Solhaven: Foggy Valley, North Beach (beetles), and Trail (Varunar)
In Landing: Broken, Danjirland, Darkstone, Graveyard, Spider Temple, and Trollfang.
So, you see....there are plenty of places for 30-50 hunting. Just gotta look.

ALAE can't just make them... They make what GM's say they can

ok now gm's are expanding for the higher level characters 90+ and adding in the artisan exp..i mean someone who masters some artisan skills and uses their gift every week they are kinda making it easier to get higher levels..maybe they're changing the game to more high end aims

'Easy' is relative. Because of the level changes (moving the cap from 160 to 100), without XXX there'd be no realistic chance of someone advancing while playing casually.

they are kinda making it easier to get higher levels
Kinda being relative to weither a person is script-hunting 24-hours a day with just one character, or only hunting 6 hours a week (to use up Lumnis) on 4-6 different characters.
For myself, I've got one character past 40, one who just hit 3, two more in their 20's, and three in their teens. While I do get times where I love to focus on one character only, those times don't usually last long...that's how I got where I am with my current characters. *shrug* I figured it out once that if I only played my warrior, nobody else, she'd be in her mid to late 60's...not too shabby, but sounds extremely boring to me.
(And as someone else said, what does this have to do with the ALAE? ALAE does what the GM's tell them to, so if the GM's are focused on higher-end hunting grounds (which I personally am happy for), there's really nothing they can do.)

You can master Artisan Skills at any train.
There are a painfully fractional number of hunting grounds compared to anything fractionally more fructuous with respect to high level critters able to be hunted in lieu of what you have listed as "midranged."

I've moved this to General Gemstone, where it seemed more fitting. Those of you who were wondering what it was doing in ALAE can now rest more comfortably. :D

I remember 50-60 being boring with not many things to hunt. They should fill more in that range.

I remember 50-60 being boring with not many things to hunt.
While it may be considered boring to only have four "areas" to hunt in in that range, I'd say having four is better then having one (which is what those at cap have, in OTF).
(ETA: Make that two areas for people at cap...the Rift has a couple critters in the 90's...)
