Taking offers on Sorrow..
a massive vaalorn sword - The sword is forged out of the darkest metal you have ever seen. Thin tendrils of faint violet light dance their way from the haft and along its length. For a brief moment you think you hear a slight moaning coming from the sword itself.
If you you've never heard of it, you probably can't afford it.. Too lazy to capture all the abilities again when someone else did it so nicely! Check out the link for info..

Buggy as hell.

I have used it sufficiently in the past couple weeks to assure you there are no bugs whatsoever that prevent it from performing all of its abilities that Celtar described. I have yet to scrutinize it close enough to see any of these supposed bugs, but because of its complexity, I can't deny the possibility that there could be an insignificant one that is unnoticeable. If one still exists, it is strictly script related and has no effect on the performance at all.

So, how the hell'd you scam Celtar into giving you that?
StrayRogue

Celtar hasn't owned that sword for over a year.

It's had about half a dozen owners in the past year i'd say.. Ardwen had it the longest.. I got it from Tolwynn..

More like three owners. Four including yourself.

He hasn't?
I didn't hear anything about that...nevermind.
Looks like a copy of Mournblade and Stormbringer from the Elric series by Michael Moorecock.
Neat blade, doubt the cost is anywhere near 500m or less though :( .

Yep, the creator always said it was based on Stormblade. It's typical price has been around 125 million. Thats what I paid/sold it for.

Just to add, this sword is, ironically, designed for a wizard or sorcerer. It's not very useful to a warrior or rogue. Many of it's abilities require spell aiming, a good CS etc, and ultimately the fact it cycles from 4x to 7x is a little weak. I always found myself using my 10x'ers over the weapon. The scripts are a killer though.

I'd have to disagree.. Although the spells contained are sorceror related cause of its creator, it's deadly in the hands of any well trained two hander warrior or rogue. NO spell aiming is required whatsoever to implode stuff.. I have sucessfully imploded stuff up to heralds which are around level 95 with ZERO spell aiming. I've also found I can ward critters up to scouts with the CS spells contained..
You swing a massive vaalorn sword at a greater construct!
AS: +674 vs DS: +130 with AvD: +29 + d100 roll: +79 = +652
... and hit for 260 points of damage!
Vertebrae in neck disintegrate from impact!
Neck sinks into shoulders.
Cracks begin to snake across the greater construct's skin as its movement completely ceases.
Roundtime: 7 sec.
Roundtime changed to 2 seconds.
Sure seems deadlier in the hands of a rogue than a waggler.

1: you're over capped, you have what, 1x spells. No rogue or warrior below cap will have a huntable CS.
2: Spell Aim is heavily keyed into FI.
3: Ultimately, at best, it's a 7x twp-handed sword.
4: Not everyone has a slave to run around hasting, strengthing, and spirit striking for them.

BTW, you're ambush rt sucks.
bubbauno

That's without spirit strike by the way.. Which I can easily cast myself so my "slaves" don't have to..
If 2 seconds sucks I can't imagine what's a good roundtime to you then.. Although I have to agree 2 seconds ambush roundtime does suck compared to my usual... That's why I prefer 1 sec ambush with my 7x claid weighted mattock.

1 second ambush was acceptable for me with Sorrow.

What part of that log shows anything about the sword? Your AS is 544 over the DS of your target. You could get that same exact effect with a weapon found off a level 3 critter.

Was just making the point that it's deadlier when being swung by a square than being used by a waggler to cast spells..
Not to mention that in order to charge it up you have to swing it at critters.

Oh forgot to add this.. will be EXTREMELY helpful..
As you turn your vaalorn sword, a deep thunderous boom echoes through the area. = RED
As you turn your vaalorn sword, a piercing shriek slices through the area. = ORANGE
As you turn your vaalorn sword, a faint whisper blows through the area. = GREEEN
As you turn your vaalorn sword, a low vibrating hum fills the area. = VIOLET
As you turn your vaalorn sword, a loud *snap* cracks through the area. = BLUE

I think the point he was trying to make is that you didn't show yourself using the effects as a square. Even though I'd likely never buy it, I'd be interested to see you using it vs Tarakan

Sorrow is sold.
Stay is still a bastard for not letting me play with it before he sold it. :club:

My god you're not kidding.
It really does seem like Tsins little snippet of crushing the constructs head was just an AS advertisement instead of something seriously informative.
